The reason for the demonstration was the city's expenses for protecting the singer's funeral on February 19. The administration spent $ 187,000 from the budget to pay police overtime, which kept the crowd at bay and thereby avoided the crush and casualties. Residents of the city believe that they are not obliged to pay, and demand a refund from the Houston family.

Earlier, Los Angeles forensic experts reported that the singer drowned in the bathroom as a result of a heart attack. It was clarified that traces of cocaine, marijuana, allergy drugs, as well as sedatives and relaxing drugs were found in the body of the deceased.

However, cocaine, coupled with the singer's heart failure, were recognized as only factors contributing to the death of Houston. Atherosclerotic heart disease also played a role in the tragedy.
