Film critics have not yet had time to really deal with "Midnight in Paris", and Woody Allen has already announced his plans for a new picture. The curiosity of the director's fans is now inflamed to the limit. It is known that in the new film, as is typical for Allen, a considerable number of stars will be removed. Including the filmmaker himself.

Allen, 75, is set to star in his new "Roman" film. “I invited Alec Baldwin and young Ellen Page, the genius opening of Juneau, as well as Jesse Eisenberg, who played the main character on The Social Network, and Penelope Cruz. And at the same time I found a small role for myself,”the Italian edition of La Stampa quotes the director's words.

Allen explains that the film will have four storylines, more or less based on Boccaccio's Decameron, and should come out as "pure, unadulterated comedy."

According to some reports, Allen will play the father of an adult daughter, who comes to Rome with his wife to meet his future son-in-law. What the rest of the actors have to do is still unknown, RIA Novosti writes. The name of the tape is also kept secret. However, it is possible that the director has not yet decided on him.

It is also known that the Oscar winner Roberto Benigni and the Australian Judy Davis, who has repeatedly played with Allen, will appear in the frame. Rumors circulate in the Italian media that Allen has invited the Moroccan dancer Karima el-Marug, known in the world press under the name Ruby, to his film: the young girl is a key figure in the trial against Silvio Berlusconi, in which the current Italian prime minister is accused of involvement in juvenile prostitution and abuse of office.

However, with or without Ruby, filming should begin in mid-July, and preparations for them start on June 18.
