It seems that it is time to elevate women to the rank of representatives of the "stronger sex" The fact is that the average lady has to overcome more difficulties in life than a man. For example, it is not only more difficult for a girl to make a successful career. Such heroism, as American doctors have found, can lead to health problems.

Women who persevere in their careers are almost twice as likely to have a heart attack, according to a study by researchers from Harvard Medical School in Boston. The researchers analyzed data on more than 17,400 women aged 50-60 who spoke about their working conditions.

Scientists also note that the number of heart attacks and deaths from myocardial infarction is highest on Monday, and in 70% of cases, men die while resting, and women - while working. A heart attack on this day can also happen to those who did not previously know where the heart is. The fact is that after a rest, which can be very stormy, stress at work falls on a person, for which we are not always ready.

The study participants were under observation for more than 10 years. As a result, scientists have found that women who work under stress and fear of losing their jobs increase the risk of a heart attack to 88% - this is twice as high as in those with a quiet job, and the need for such activities as bypass surgery or invasive procedures, - by 43%.

Previous studies have shown that stressful work also affects the cardiovascular system of men, but, as it turns out, to a lesser extent, that in the case of women.

The experts shared their results during the annual conference of the American Heart Association in Chicago, NEWSru.com writes with reference to The Daily Mail.
