An interesting feature of the female body was discovered by American biologists. It turns out that germs and bacteria love women's hands. This fact confirms the fact that there are much less bacteria on the palms of men.

Scientists at the University of Colorado used a powerful gene sequencing (sequence) method and found about 150 different bacteria living on the human hand. Biologists noticed that women's hands contained far more bacteria than men's.

Surprisingly, the number of bacteria was largely independent of the frequency of hand washing. The pH of the skin is thought to play a role in the spread of germs on women's hands. Men's skin usually has a more acidic pH level, which prevents the activity of harmful microorganisms, writes AMI-TASS.

Not only does each person have their own set of "tame" microorganisms, but each separately taken palm - the left and right hands of an individual often shared only 17% of bacteria of the same type.

The results obtained may also be due to differences in sweating and sebaceous gland production, the level of moisture and skin thickness and the production of sex hormones, according to American doctors. Associate Professor Rob Knight also cites one more factor: in the weaker sex, a greater number of bacteria live under the surface of the skin, where they cannot be destroyed by conventional hygiene products.

Regular use of antibacterial hand cleaners kills the vast majority of microbes and protects against the spread of pathogens, but bacterial colonies often recover quickly after hand washing or hand washing, immunologists noted. There are three times more bacteria on the palms than on the elbow or forearm, and their concentration can exceed the number of bacteria on other parts of the body, including the organs of the esophagus and the oral cavity, doctors add.
