There are more germs on the desk than in the office restroom, and there are more germs on the desk of a woman than on the desk of her male counterpart, according to recent research. Overall, an office desktop has 400 times more bacteria than a toilet seat in an office toilet.

American biologist from the University of Arizona Charles Herb conducted a study, which showed that at least four times more different bacteria live on the personal belongings of women than on the things of men. As it turned out, nutritious creams, which are constantly used by representatives of the weaker half of humanity, are to blame. They serve as a fertile environment for various microorganisms and provoke their accumulation on women's handbags, tables, phones, keyboards and personal belongings.

Scientists themselves are surprised by the results obtained, expecting in advance that there will be more microbes on the things of men. Women’s tables also tend to look neater. But women themselves are more likely to come into contact with children and store food in drawers. And on the desktop of any representative of the beautiful half of humanity is always full of all kinds of cosmetics, including the obligatory hand cream. And a woman's cosmetic bag is an excellent breeding ground for germs, no worse than a phone, wallet and desk drawer.

However, women should not be upset about this. Bacteria keep up with men. The men's wallet has been proven to be the most microbial place in the office. So a man with a wallet in his back pocket of his trousers is a real "incubator" for bacteria, countless numbers of which are found on the electronic organizer of men. They rarely let go of him.
