Liza Minnelli broke her leg, tripping over a dog

She successfully records new discs and gives concerts. But, unfortunately, the health status of 65-year-old Liza Minnelli has left a lot to be desired. Diva regularly receives various injuries. She recently suffered a multiple fracture of her right leg after colliding with her own dog.

Now Mrs. Minnelli is forced to move in a wheelchair. Earlier this month, the performer underwent surgery in New York and was forced to withdraw from the scheduled Police Athletics League Woman of the Year awards ceremony.

In 2000, the actress, who is one of the few representatives of show business in the world, who won the most prestigious awards in the United States in the field of theater, cinema, music and television, suffered a severe form of viral encephalitis. Doctors assumed that after that she would not be able to walk, but in 2001 Liza Minnelli returned to the stage. Last year, due to knee surgery, the diva was forced to miss the Grammy ceremony.

“I don’t know how I got it, but I managed to stumble over my own dog. She broke her leg in three places, which in most such cases is cause for serious concern,”the star told reporters. The breed and size of the dog responsible for the injury have not been specified.

Nevertheless, Lisa immediately hurried to reassure her fans and clarified that there was someone to look after her. “I am dating a couple of people, I can’t say anything more. We will not delve into this issue,”said the actress, who has been married four times.

“Why would I marry again? When you reach a certain age, it doesn't matter. If you love someone, you just love,”she stressed.
