In the opinion of more than half of the surveyed Russian women (51%), the main male quality is intelligence. The second and third most popular are the ability to earn good money (42%) and decency (37%). Only 5% of women are interested in the appearance and sex appeal of men.
According to experts, over the past 25 years, gender portraits in Russian society have practically not changed, except that the value of decency has significantly decreased.
“The decline in the value of such a quality as decency is explained by the fact that this concept is becoming more and more blurred,” said demographer Igor Beloborodov. He explained that in a modern family where father and mother work, the child is given about 20 minutes a day. At the same time, grandparents live separately, most often also in another settlement. As a result, the formation of the moral values of the younger generation is influenced not by the family, but by television and the Internet, Izvestia writes.
