Video: How to freeze food

The freezer is a more versatile place to store food than many people are used to thinking. Most of the owners of refrigerators store in it only frozen convenience foods, meat, quick-frozen vegetables and, of course, ice and ice cream. In fact, you can keep there almost any food that you purchased for future use and whose shelf life is not long.
Three tips for freezing:
1. Remove air from the container. To avoid cold damage, remove excess air from the bag or container in which you are going to freeze the food.
2. Freeze cooked homemade food. If you always do not have enough time to fully cook, but you can afford to spend one day at the stove, cook for the future and freeze ready-made meals. The only condition: it works if you have somewhere to quickly defrost a portion. That is, for example, in the microwave there is a defrosting option so that you do not have to lay out food to defrost it in the refrigerator overnight.
3. Be careful about re-freezing raw food. If you change plans and want to freeze the food again, do so while it is still firm in the middle and contains ice crystals. Try to use these foods as soon as possible before they lose quality.
Note: set the temperature in the refrigerator to no higher than 5 degrees, and in the freezer to no higher than 17 degrees.
Below is a list of what you can freeze for future use without any problems.
