The iconic accessory has suddenly become a "chest of discord". But the representatives of LV, together with the leadership of the capital's GUM, only wanted "the best", but it turned out as always.
The pavilion was supposed to host an exhibition entitled “The Soul of Wanderings” from December 2 to January 19, which will feature chests, bags and personal belongings of Louis Vuitton customers. The organizers of the exhibition assured the press that the exposition will be non-commercial in nature, and all proceeds from ticket sales will be directed to Natalia Vodianova's Naked Heart Foundation.
However, the public did not like the chest, and the organizers were accused of bad taste and sacrilege.
So, the secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation Sergei Obukhov said: “I am surprised, it seemed to me that the current government understands what Red Square is. She has been since the 30s. Of the twentieth century performs a sacred function. Yes, it used to be a marketplace, but now there are military parades and solemn ceremonies, but most importantly - shrines: a monument to Minin and Pozharsky, Lobnoye mesto, Kremlin burial places. It is unworthy, indecent and insulting."

Turning Red Square into a kind of tent is wrong, because there are quite a few sites where you can experiment, carry out some interesting creative ideas. But this should not be associated with a place of the greatest historical significance. There should be some correctness, good breeding, respect, RIA Novosti quotes the head of the OP commission on culture Pavel Pozhigailo.
The GUM management has already notified the Russian representative office of LV about the need to dismantle the chest pavilion.
