This is an extremely important advantage: without this bend, the pressure on the hips increases by almost 800 percent, which practically immobilizes the pregnant woman and increases the risk of injury,”says Lewis.

An angle of 45 degrees is the sweet spot: it helps move, but also does not put women at risk of hernias and chronic back pain.

Women with a bowed back could search for food even in the last months of pregnancy and give birth to many babies without the risk of injuring their spine.

“Men focus their attention on a woman's buttocks, but they receive information about the spine, not knowing that this is what their brain is doing. However, it is also possible that men are attracted by both a curved back and a curvy heel. To understand this, further research is needed,”sums up the psychologist.
