Color is the beginning. He rules over everything in the fashion world. He is the king. It has been and always will be. Color commands the cut and dictates the choice of fabric. This is a secret weapon, a classic formula for success that has never failed any couturier at all times.

Dietmar Sterling, a famous German couturier working in Paris, a recognized master of color composition. It was he who perfected this, which has become a classic, plot to perfection: color - style - fabric. Dietmar prefers the "business woman" style. He works for real, down-to-earth and pragmatic ladies, for whom the color of a casual suit is half the success in their own business. How do you like the combination: royal blue, saffron yellow and bronze? This is already a classic today.

It is worth noting that the very ladies who relied on the magic of Mr. Sterling were not mistaken. He is gifted with a natural sense of harmony, and this is not given to everyone. You can memorize thousands of color combinations. Knowing from the textbook how with what and what to wear, but when you need to create a certain mood, alas, you cannot do without intuition and God's gift at least a little, just a little.

Man is a strange creature. Compared to the ability of some animals to see, hear and touch, it is surprisingly limited. And yet the color spectrum that is available to his perception is used with commendable imagination, especially in clothing. From the point of view of some alien mind, the ability to perceive colors may be insignificant, ridiculous and means absolutely nothing. But for a human?

Imagine for a moment that all people on Earth have ceased to distinguish colors. It's not just about traffic lights and semaphores. In the end, these sign systems can always be replaced by others. But what about those individual sign systems that belong to each of us personally? People will cease to adequately perceive each other, an insurmountable wall of misunderstanding will grow. And this is a real disaster.

After all, what each of us secretly protects in the depths of his soul, breaks out, no matter how we deny it, by all understandable symbols. I don't want to wear this angelic pink dress today. Better here is that snide-swamp color - and everything falls into place.

At the University of Krakow, an old professor, without any questions, gave good marks to students dressed in blue dresses. Savvy little girls, noticing the strangeness of their professor, always passed the exams in a "duty" dress, passing it on to their girlfriends. Since not all of them had a dress of the right color. What a cute joke the kind professor's subconscious made. What was the reason for this: your first love wearing a blue dress for a date, days of happiness spent on the shores of the blue sea, or an unforgettable childhood experience? It doesn't matter, the main thing is that the students are lucky.

If only we would be lucky now. Probably, it is worth listening to the spiritual outpourings of colleagues at work or even the boss himself. What if you manage to hit the right color wave? A couturier himself is wonderful. After all, Dietmar Sterling is as far away as Paris, and maybe even further.

And here is the next curious story. In one darkroom, employees were constantly quarreling among themselves. As it turned out as a result of a specially conducted study, the cause of the outbursts of aggression in these people was the red light in the room. We tried to replace it with green, the result exceeded all expectations. The lab workers stopped fighting altogether and gradually became close friends. A classic example from a psychology textbook. You should probably not look like a fire engine at a stormy production meeting, causing all the fire on itself.

Well, as for the eternal debate about the combination of red and green? Despite the assertions of Parisian couturiers that green and red have not been bad manners for a long time, yet many fashion-savvy Russians still try to avoid this explosive combination in clothes. Although, it would seem, the most natural, natural colors: poppies in the field, strawberries on the lawn. It's not just courage. But rather, in a sense of tact and style, which are inherent in, believe me, women of the CIS space no less than any other on the planet. The luxury of the aristocracy of the times of Louis XIV, who preferred to wear velvet of two colors at the same time: red and green, is inappropriate for a secretary, journalist or public relations manager's suit at the time of fulfilling his professional duty. After all, they have to communicate with different people who want to make a favorable impression. And if we look for an example of impeccable etiquette, elegance and psychological accuracy to follow? Have you ever seen the Queen of England in red and green? Or an ORT announcer in a suit of a similar color scheme? Perhaps only Lyudmila Gurchenko sometimes allows herself to slightly shock the audience, but how subtly, as if by notes, the actress "plays out" her costume! Behind bright feathers, green sequins, red bows - an amazing Woman. And all this sparkling entourage, it turns out, is not at all the main thing. Who among us can bravely follow her example? Alas? Soul fire is not enough.

No, personally, I'm not at all against red and green. Is it just that color is a dangerous thing, especially when it is thoughtlessly transferred from the page of a fashion magazine into real life and imposed on a specific person with his personal, individual characteristics of a figure, color of skin, eyes, hair, character, worldview? You can get badly burned one day, and then blow on the water for the rest of your life. It's a shame.

The day before yesterday red was in vogue, yesterday gray, today pink, lilac, blue … Where is it from? What, all the couturiers of the world conspired with each other or spied on each other? And now we should definitely wear only purple?

Today's fashion is so multifaceted that it is simply stupid to give preference to any one color. The time of cult couturiers and cult collections has already passed. There is a choice, and so huge that it is not easy to get confused in all these styles and trends that are multiplying at an incredible speed around the world. The catwalk for an energetic business lady is now not an iconostasis, but rather a cheat sheet, where from time to time it is worth casting a glance. Critically. After all, for whom else are they all up there, working in the sweat of their brow? And the colors that sparkle on the podium today are the same as many years ago. Black and white, red, pink, blue and green polka dots, gray, with all kinds of stripes, turquoise, blue, canary caramel … You can't list everything. What we are going to do?

The problem of choice is the most difficult. And yet there are small and simple rules, outrageously banal, but capable of doing a good job. Dietmar Sterling shared with us. The color of clothing affects the mood of its owner and the people around him. Favorite clothing colors can reveal the secrets of a person's character. People who are open, sociable, and friendly usually prefer warm and bright colors. Taciturn and withdrawn, immersed in cold and darker color combinations.

Age also affects adherence to a particular color. For example, children are very fond of everything bright, especially they highlight the red color. Everything red is beautiful for them. Teenagers, young people also prefer bright colors, unusual color schemes, or rather even chords. Among the young there are many adherents and radically black. This hobby is mainly associated with the cult of a musical style or simply imitation of your favorite movie hero. In general, everything related to youth groups has a deeply symbolic meaning. Therefore, the colors here also carry their own semantic load, sometimes unusual.

Middle-aged people often prefer blue, green, gray, brown in a business suit, symbolizing respectability, career success. The elderly, on the other hand, try to follow more conservative traditions in clothing, in darker colors. But this is not a dogma, rather just a general trend. After all, even the elderly are happy to dress up in colorful, pink and lilac when it comes to an exciting journey or a fun holiday. It should be remembered that red is not only exciting. First of all, it attracts the attention of others and sets off the complexion well. Especially beneficial for people with pale skin. Green color calms, improves mood. Blue is refreshing. Women in blue clothes look younger. Purple especially suits older women. Attracts attention, makes you look young. Various shades of purple, especially light ones, perfectly set off young white skin. But you can't overdo it here. You need to be more careful with makeup, otherwise a young and fresh face can turn into a vulgar caricature. Yellow is an unusual color. Helps to increase labor productivity in work areas. According to some businessmen, they made their fortune by painting their factories yellow. This color suits almost all women, cheers up, makes you smile. And it is especially good in combination with dark tanned skin.

We must not forget that under electric lighting, colors change. Reds, oranges, browns and yellows brighten. Blue-greens, blues, blues and purples darken. Orange and brown blush. Light yellows approach whites. And yellow-greens do not change.

Green tones turn yellow. Blue turns green and becomes little distinguishable from blue-green, or turns red, acquiring a purple tint. Blue turns gray or even blacken, dark blue becomes almost black. On the other hand, some shades of blue turn red. Violet also turns red and is indistinguishable from magenta.

And the last thing. A fashionable trend in psychology - neurolinguistic programming - divides the perception of the world around people into several different types. Some people perceive the world by ear. For them, sounds are important, the intonation of a phrase uttered by someone. Someone will not yet touch the object with their hands, will not be convinced of the essence of what has been said. And for some, visual perception, lighting, shape, color (!) Are more important than others. But all people in one way or another, to a greater or lesser extent, react to the color scheme. And they constantly send each other beautiful color signals, which are instantly read by the brain, and there is a response. What it will be is a matter of your taste and sense of tact.

Is it so hard to walk the razor's edge? Becoming your own color director is not easy. And the catwalks beckon with pink ostrich feathers and black leather, bright butterflies with opal sequins, gray houndstooth tweed and blue indigo denim, blood red silk and gold satin, transparent plastic and Dalmatian spots? Can't resist!
