Social networks continue to discuss the sudden departure of singer Alisa Vox from the Leningrad group. A few weeks ago, the artist unexpectedly announced the beginning of a solo career and has already presented her debut song and video. But the first job was not very successful. Meanwhile, Leningrad soloist Sergei Shnurov decided to share the secret of his success.
In his Instagram, the musician, without undue modesty, clarified that he is a creative person and that he is not satisfied with the usual standards.
“I try to do something fundamentally new, something new that has never happened before. And to me it is completely unprincipled whether it is swearing or not, it is a clip or an article, a song or a verse. It must be unique. Swivel. Others. This did not happen before me and without me it would hardly have appeared. It can be vulgar or sophisticated, daring or quivering, bright or ghostly, but it must be unique. The new may consist entirely of quotations from the old, but they must be presented in an interesting and hitherto unseen perspective. Its true intonation and style is the only valuable value. Keeping aligned to the west in popular culture is a losing strategy. Chasing fashion is useless, you will always be one step behind. You can keep up with fashion only if you set it yourself. That's what's important."
