Later, the building was further expanded: six bedrooms for the daughters of the star were added to the previous area. The mansion has an area of more than 620 square meters; the house stands on a plateau surrounded by wooded plantations.
A party for friends was organized by one of the actress's assistants, but Demi herself was not at home. According to preliminary data, the party participants decided to arrange a night swim in the pool on a makeshift raft. Unfortunately, during the fun, no one noticed the 21-year-old fall into the water. It is possible that the deceased fell asleep.
“This seems to be a tragic accident,” Los Angeles Police Chief Mike Lopez told reporters. An investigation is currently underway for the possible use of drugs or alcohol by the deceased. The guy's name has not been released to avoid unhealthy press interest in his family.
“I am absolutely shocked,” Demi Moore said in a special statement to JustJared.com. - I was on a trip around the country and communicated with my daughters when I was told the terrible news. The loss of a child is an unthinkable tragedy, and now my heart is with the young man's family and his friends. And I ask all of you to please respect your privacy during this difficult time."
