The famous actor Oleg Menshikov ended up in the hospital. The artistic director of the Ermolova Moscow Drama Theater is now in one of the capital's clinics. Doctors diagnosed a celebrity with a hypertensive crisis on the background of overwork.

Oleg Evgenievich's health problems began a few days ago. While on tour in Rostov-on-Don, the actor felt unwell. And so serious that the play "The Players" with the participation of the actor had to be canceled.

According to press reports, an ambulance was called to Menshikov's hotel, but when the doctors arrived at the scene, the actor refused to be examined. The artist returned to Moscow yesterday.

“Moscow doctors diagnosed the actor with a hypertensive crisis against the background of overwork,” the press service of the Yermolova Theater told Interfax on Thursday. After returning to the capital, the actor is under the supervision of doctors, said the agency's interlocutor. But doctors believe that there is no reason for concern, and assess the artist's condition as satisfactory.

Recall that the 52-year-old actor headed the Yermolova Theater in April last year. In August, there was a small scandal in the theater - the actress Tatyana Dogileva said that Menshikov had "starred".
