The latest news is devoted to the upcoming vaccination of the population. Along with citizens looking for where to buy a Russian-made vaccine, there are those who are interested in whether it will be possible to refuse the coronavirus vaccine.

What is the reason for the question

After studying public opinion, analysts are confident that the main reason for refusing to participate in the vaccination campaign is the incompleteness of the vaccine. However, this statement is based on data from the period August-September, when it was planned to conduct the third stage of clinical trials on volunteers who did not have coronavirus in the metropolitan area. Since that moment, there have been many positive changes, including the emergence of EpiVacCorona from the Novosibirsk vector.

Whether it will be possible to refuse the coronavirus vaccine is not yet known for certain. Understanding the fact that the safety of the population depends on the health of people on the priority lists does not mean total trust in vaccination among priority specialists.

Nor does it have a significant effect on refuseniks and there are many illustrative examples of infections of doctors from patients, and teachers from children who are not sick, but act as latent carriers of infection.

The reason for refusals to administer the vaccine is called:

  1. Russian President's statement on voluntary vaccination.
  2. Contradicting (according to some human rights activists) this message of the Russian leader, the statement of the head of the Ministry of Health on the start of vaccination of people at special risk.
  3. Numerous publications on the imperfection of the world's first vaccine.

The possibility of a positive answer to the question of whether it will be possible to refuse the coronavirus vaccine also exists for those who must be vaccinated without fail. This is necessary in order not to risk your health and not endanger people's lives.

Basic provisions on vaccinations

In the current alarming situation and the spread of infection, the state is forced to allocate funds for research, purchase special equipment and special freezers in order to store the vaccine in prescribed extreme conditions.

One person infected with Covid-19 in the workplace can infect up to 200 people, and there are examples of such incidents in the global clusters of infection.

We are talking not only about Sutnik-V, but also about measures to prevent other dangerous infections:

  1. There is a special government decree No. 825, according to which doctors who work with any infections and teachers must undergo immunization. You can refuse social and professional duties on the basis that vaccination with Covid-19 is not included in the list of mandatory preventive vaccinations.
  2. There is a document from Rospotrebnadzor establishing the possibility of each person to refuse vaccination on a legal basis - in the presence of complications or a pathological reaction after the first injection, allergies, exacerbation of chronic pathologies and pregnancy, individual immunity to individual components of the drug. For refusal, it is enough to documentarily confirm the presence of contraindications.
  3. There is still no point in talking about childhood - the age limits of Sputnik-V and EpiVacCorona start at the age of 18 and are limited to 60 years of age. However, there are volunteers over the age of 60 who volunteer to be vaccinated as part of a clinical trial. While there are not enough doses for mass vaccination, it was decided to protect high-risk groups. According to Law No. 157, everyone who is not in these groups has the full right to refuse preventive vaccinations. It is enough just to fill out a written waiver and give it to a medical professional.

Citizens who are not on the priority lists do not have to worry: not all of them can be vaccinated due to contraindications, age, or recently suffered Covid-19. It is planned to vaccinate about 70%, and then on a voluntary basis. As for risk groups, they can legally refuse in the cases listed in the decree of Rospotrebnadzor.

Outcomes

Vaccination is one of the most important discoveries of mankind, which makes it possible to protect the population from the spread of dangerous infections and their tragic consequences:

  1. While there are not enough doses of the drug, we are talking about vaccinations only for risk groups.
  2. Federal law provides for the right to refuse immunization for compelling reasons.
  3. The state provides the world's first vaccine for free to its citizens.
  4. Several dozen countries are ready to purchase the drug for any money.
