Video: THE NEW WAY TO EXFOLIATE YOUR FACE!? ULTRASONIC SKIN SCRUBBER l Blackhead Digger!? 2024, May

We are almost used to ultrasonic toothbrushes. And then the majority uses the usual and does not see anything wrong with it. Now stores are gradually starting to fill other ultrasound machines - for washing. Clarisonic and the subsequent ultrasonic brushes from other companies took their place in the market only recently, but immediately made a lot of noise.

This development of American cosmetologists is cited as a worthy alternative to salon facial cleansing - just as effective, but suitable for home use. Today, many brands have these brushes. We decided to figure out if they are really so effective, what are their disadvantages and how to use them to achieve results.

How do they work

Ultrasonic brushes operate on a battery charge - it lasts for 24 hours of using the device. The brushes have several replaceable attachments for different skin types, including sensitive ones, which are made of a special porous material that is easy to clean and does not retain bacteria. Also, the device provides several speed modes that can be switched depending on the type and condition of your skin. In addition, it is waterproof and suitable for use in the shower.

The way to use the superbrush is simple: before you start cleansing your face with the device, you should remove makeup from your face in the usual way using foam, milk or gel and toner. The face should be moistened with water before the cleaning procedure. Next, a cleanser is applied to the brush, then each area of the face is treated with massaging circular movements - twenty seconds on the nose, forehead and chin and ten minutes on each cheek.

According to the advertisement, ultrasonic facial cleansing brushes are suitable for daily care and in just one minute of use, they remove various impurities, blackheads, pigmentation, exfoliate dead cells and even remove fine wrinkles. On average, such cleansing is considered ten times more effective than regular facials.

But not everything is so simple

Over time, more and more people began to acquire a miracle device, and gradually it became clear that Clarisonic and similar devices are not as flawless as they are said to be. Superbrushes collect both laudatory and not the most flattering reviews on the forums, and some cosmetologists even strongly oppose self-cleaning of the face.

The main argument is the fact that ultrasonic face cleansing is a procedure that is usually performed by specialists in a salon and has a list of contraindications and possible consequences in the form of skin problems if certain rules are not followed.

Although device manufacturers claim that cleaning the skin with a brush pulsing at a speed of 300 vibrations per second cannot compete with ultrasonic cleaning in the salon, cosmetologists advise not to get carried away.

First, the ultrasonic peeling procedure can be performed no more than once every two weeks. Some cosmetologists give superbrushes a discount (after all, they position themselves as home care products) and admit that you can do the procedure more often, namely three times a week. But still - not every day, as the developers of the brushes recommend. In any case, it is important to remember that everything is individual, and for a start it is worth looking at how your skin will react to the brush - unless, of course, for a little testing you are ready to pay a rather large sum for this device.

Who shouldn't use the brush

In addition to the possible risks, the brush also has contraindications. It categorically should not be used by people with such face problems as herpes, acne, rosacea and closely located vessels - an unnecessary effect on such skin can only aggravate the situation and lead to serious consequences.

However, even if the above problems do not apply to you, you still should not rush to do ultrasonic cleaning every day - after a month of regular maintenance, super brushes can turn any skin into hypersensitive.

It categorically should not be used by people with face problems such as herpes, acne, rosacea and closely located vessels.

In addition to hypersensitivity, another common problem that occurs after regular intensive cleansing is dry skin. The lipid barrier breaks down over time, and moisture easily leaves the skin cells, dehydrating them.

In addition, frequent deep cleansing can lead to chronic inflammation on the skin, which is fraught with premature aging, as well as the active production of melanin in the skin, which can lead to hyperpigmentation. The skin reacts very sharply to constant exposure - this injures it, and it goes into SOS mode, due to which the cells are constantly renewed. Due to the regular renewal of cells, the skin, of course, looks younger, but in the future this may threaten it with premature aging.

Arguments in favor

On the other hand, some cosmetologists are in favor of the daily use of ultrasonic brushes - in their opinion, if you choose a gentle mode and a special attachment for sensitive skin, this will not do any harm, but, on the contrary, will help to increase blood circulation, acting as a facial massage.

If you have weighed the pros and cons and are determined to get yourself a superbrush for regular grooming, follow a few rules:

By far the number one rule: if you have or suspect any skin conditions, consult your doctor before buying a brush.

When buying a brush, start using it with the softest attachment - this way you will understand how the brush acts specifically on your skin, whether it causes irritation or complications. At first, with this mode of use, it will be easier to prevent them.

Do not use ultrasonic brushes with any exfoliating product. There are special facial cleansers that are applied to the brush, and scrubs and other similar products can only do harm if you decide to use them with the brush. By the way, the developers of ultrasonic brushes do not position their product as a means for exfoliating the skin - for this, the devices have too soft bristles, so even if you regularly use the brush, they advise you not to neglect peeling agents. Therefore, if you need extra exfoliation, alternate brushing with other renewing agents.

If you need extra exfoliation, alternate brushing with other renewing products.

To avoid unpleasant consequences in the form of irritation or flaking of the skin, during the procedure, do not press on the brush "for greater effect." And, of course, avoid treating the area around the eyes with the device - the procedure is intended only for the indicated areas: nose, forehead, cheeks and chin.

For sensitive skin, use the device very carefully - first, see how the skin reacts to a couple of applications - start once a week, and if you don't notice any complications, you can try to do the procedure more often.

As an undeniable bonus when using ultrasonic brushes, many people note that after their exposure to the skin, various creams penetrate deeper into the layers of the dermis and work better.

The brush has no age restrictions, so you can start using it at that age when the first black dots no longer allow you to look calmly in the mirror. By the way, brushes are also suitable for men - they say they save from ingrown hairs after shaving, but otherwise they act in the same way as on women's skin - they cleanse, renew and refresh.

And, of course, do not forget to choose just the right cleansers for your face - so that together with them, skin care with the help of the device will be more effective.
