Waking up in the morning and going to the office that has already become too "native", we more and more often think how tired we are of this sitting at the computer, thoughtless clicking on the keyboard, angry boss and fellow gossips.

I would like to change something, but not just like that, but for the new job to be highly paid, prestigious, enjoyable, and an understanding boss and friendly team worked next to us. In general, not a job, but a dream. The only question is: does this exist in real life?

By elevating their dream job to the category of something sacred, people themselves put barriers between themselves and what could bring them joy.

From here there are many myths that successfully set everyone up in a pessimistic way: "work" from the word "slave", it cannot make us happy, the main thing is money, and thinking about the rest is the lot of the weak.

But, despite this belief, almost everyone around us secretly hates the business they are doing, dreaming of something else. And they do not understand that it is only in their power to look at the state of affairs in a different way and start thinking in a positive way.

Myth 1. A dream job is the lot of exceptionally talented people

For some reason, everyone thinks that only actors, writers and artists can consider their work ideal. In general, all those whom God kissed at birth. It seems to us that for such people every working day is a holiday, and such a luxury is in no way available to “mere mortals”. But actually it is not.

Each person has his own interests and abilities, something is given to us easier, but something is easier, we want to do something, and something is dreamed of in terrible dreams. It's important to figure out what kind of activity makes you happy. It may not be a romantic profession, but a rather mundane one, but if it brings you joy, it may well become a dream job.

Myth 2. Your favorite job is never high-paying

This myth is based on the conviction of people that nothing in life comes easily. And even more so money. They have to be earned by hard, hard work, almost blood and sweat. A dream job is out of the question here - a complete exhausting of one's physical and mental strength. Whether it is those who do what they love! Since everything is so simple with them, then there can be no big money. Is it possible for a woman copywriter, sitting at home, to earn bread and butter? It turns out she can. And it's not about who plows how much. Quite the opposite is true.

Someone who does something that he likes is more willing to take on his job day in and day out and move forward up the career ladder. And the one who hates the office and everything connected with it is unlikely to grab the stars from the sky.

Myth 3. Only a select few know what they want to do

This is a fundamentally wrong position. If you think that you have absolutely no interests and abilities, then you were looking for them badly. Try this: Write on a piece of paper absolutely everything that you enjoy doing. Let it be even classes that are not related at first glance to the issue. Then (not right away, it is possible the next day, suddenly remember something else) in front of each item, write the corresponding type of activity, preferably also paid. You will see - it turns out that you are a very interested person, and there is a suitable job for you.

Myth 4. A dream job is a perfect combination of various factors

It is precisely about a barrel of honey that we are talking about. For some reason, many are convinced that the perfect job is all at once. And interest, and a large salary, and a convenient schedule, and a boss-darling, and a team-family, and proximity to home. But this is not true. As mentioned earlier, a fly in the ointment is always present. And it is important to understand that work does not get bad just because you have to work on weekends, or because the tyrant boss every now and then asks you to "go there, I don't know where."

If this type of activity really makes you happy, close your eyes to minor inconveniences, they should not get in your way.

Myth 5. You can get into prestigious companies only by pull

Many people dream of working in large corporations and are sure that this particular job will become the same one, but they don't even try to send their resume there. As a rule, there is only one excuse: “Who needs me there? There are only sons and daughters. Solid blat. This is how employees of small firms appear, offended by life. But it is worth, as in the well-known parable, just buy a lottery ticket once in order to find out whether you won or not.

Myth 6. Dream job brings exceptional happiness

And this is a warning for those who are determined to make their favorite occupation their work. Do not think that from now on you will wake up every day with a smile and just run to your desk.

Even the most enjoyable activity in the world can get bored if you repeat it day after day. Be patient and understand that your dream job is first and foremost a job. And she will require concentration from you, efforts through “I don’t want” and constant reminders why you still love her.
