Another legendary outfit of Princess Diana is up for auction. This time, the attention of fashionistas and collectors is offered to Lady Diana Spencer's black dress, in which she first officially appeared as the bride of Prince Charles.

Kerry Taylor's Passion for Fashion summer auction today will display about 30 items of Lady Dee's wardrobe, as well as sketches of her wedding dress and private correspondence.

The collection is presented for auction by British designers David and Elizabeth Emanuel, who have worked with Diana for many years. The starting price for the most notable lot, the black dress, is £ 50,000.

The black taffeta strapless dress debuted in March 1981 when Diana and Charles arrived for a charity event.
