Even with the coming New Year, many of us still continue to mope in winter. The feeling that the most exciting and fabulous holiday will soon come does not save you from drowsiness, scattered attention and lethargy. Whether it's in the summer - the sun rises early, you want to stay awake as long as possible, and in the cold season you only dream of a warm blanket and a quick return home from a bored office. For some, winter becomes a serious test: everything falls out of hand, they do not think about business, and just the thought of going out into the street spoils the mood.

If you have realized that it is much more difficult for you to look at the world positively in winter, then it's time to break this trend.

But one thing is the influence of weather changes on a person's condition, and another is a completely understandable desire to always remain vigorous and cheerful. If you realized that in winter it is much more difficult for you to maintain a high level of performance and generally look at the world positively, then it's time to break this trend. Follow a few simple rules that can make your gray and gloomy winter a great snowy season.

Don't neglect movement

Most of us are already sitting in the office all the time, and all movement during the day is reduced to the road “home-work-home”. And if on a warm spring or summer evening, many are drawn to go out for a walk, then in winter they do not want to do this at all. It's cold, slippery, dark, windy outside - what kind of walks can we talk about? However, it is in winter that the whole family can go to the park on a Sunday afternoon to go skiing or downhill or go to the skating rink, where you can let off the steam that has accumulated over the week with cheerful music. If winter sports are not to your liking, then visit the pool or fitness club - they are open all year round.

Let the light in

Experts believe that it is the lack of light that should be blamed for the depressive state that overwhelms people in winter. It gets dark early, it gets late. So it turns out that you get up in the dark, feel ready to go to work, and then also, as if under cover of night, return home. The lack of light negatively affects not only our attitude, but also our health. In winter, the body lacks vitamin D, hence weak immunity, malfunctioning of the thyroid gland, poor skin condition, etc.

Try to light scented candles, they create a feeling of home comfort and warmth.

Of course, it is unlikely that the light of the lamp will help you get rid of bags under the eyes, but it is easy to cheer up. Therefore, let light in your life: open the curtains during the day, do not save on electricity in the evening. By the way, try lighting scented candles, they create a feeling of home comfort and warmth.

Pay attention to nutrition

It is important to include in your diet foods that can help your body produce serotonin, the "hormone of happiness." Of course, all kinds of sweets come to mind first - rolls, pastries, cookies and cakes. But you shouldn't lean on them. Having saved you for a while from feelings of anxiety and apathy, these products will not enrich your body with vitamins at all, but will only add problems in the form of figure imperfections. Healthy alternatives are liver, oatmeal, seaweed, prunes, dried apricots, juicy fruits (such as bananas, persimmons, citrus fruits), green salad, and seafood. Keep in mind, however, that your body needs the amino acids found in dairy products to successfully produce serotonin. Therefore, make it a rule to drink a glass of yogurt or kefir at least once a day. Adhering to proper nutrition, you will not only heal your body, but also strengthen the nervous system in such a cold and gray season.

Start preparing for the New Year

Do not put off the thought of gifts for loved ones on the back burner.

Now it is very opportune - there is nothing left before the holiday, Christmas trees, garlands, toys are already sold in stores. So you do not pretend that the general fun and anticipation of a miracle does not concern you. Put a New Year ringtone on your phone, and a beautiful screensaver on your desktop that will remind you of the upcoming holiday. Do not put off thoughts about gifts for loved ones on the back burner. Firstly, there is not much time left, and rushing around the shops on December 31, after which in a hurry to prepare dishes for the festive table is not the best idea. And secondly, thinking about surprises for friends and loved ones now, you will kill two birds with one stone: you can find what the people who are important to you really want to get, and tune in to a special holiday wave that can make even the coldest winter day wonderful.

Most of us are so accustomed to the negative impact of winter on health and mood that literally all problems are explained by the snowfall and the onset of cold weather. And, what is most interesting, many do not even try to somehow change the situation, believing that everything "will resolve by itself" with the arrival of spring. However, few people think that it is possible to be cheerful, active and cheerful at any time of the year. Yes, sometimes it's really difficult to get out of bed and you don't want to do absolutely anything, but doesn't that happen to you in the summer? Are you always on the rise in the heat? Whatever the temperature outside the window, do not forget that you live here and now, do not postpone life for three months, you are not bears to hibernate.
