The famous composer and producer Konstantin Meladze is thinking about leaving show business. Ukrainian and Russian media are writing about this today. A celebrity spokesman has not yet given any comments on this matter, but journalists associate the rumors with a tragic accident that occurred at the end of December.
Recall that at the end of last month, Meladze knocked down 30-year-old Anna Pischalo in his car. The victim died on the spot. Konstantin Shotaevich tried to help the family of the deceased financially and, according to some information, promised to pay something like an allowance to her two young children.
According to the leadership of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, despite the refusal of claims against Meladze by the relatives of the deceased, he faces up to eight years in prison with a possible deprivation of the right to drive vehicles for up to three years.
Now the media are reporting that the producer is considering leaving the show business. And he said this allegedly in a conversation with Anna's relatives. “Meladze is experiencing this tragedy so hard and deeply that I did not immediately recognize him. The composer said that he was ready to quit writing music, would close his project (Voice of the Country on the 1 + 1 channel), since this tragedy did not give him the opportunity to work,”the UNIAN news agency quoted one of the deceased's relatives as saying.
Indeed, now Konstantin Shotaevich refuses to communicate with journalists, does not answer phone calls, does not give interviews.
Nevertheless, in early January, the creators of the show "I want to" VIA Gro! " said that the tragedy will not affect the shooting of the project. Castings have already taken place in Kiev, Moscow and Almaty. A selection of those wishing to take part in the project was also held in Minsk last week. Meladze himself previously noted that he intends to assemble a "people's group" and a model appearance - this is not yet a pass to his new show.
