Billionaire weddings are usually heavily discussed in the media. And the wedding ceremony of Mark Zuckerberg, of course, was no exception. Until recently, everything was carefully hidden. And on Saturday, the founder of the social network Facebook presented the public with a surprise - he put the status “married” in the column “marital status” on his page.

The wedding day of Mark and Priscilla Chan, May 19, was timed to coincide with the date of Priscilla's graduation from the university, as well as the birthday of the billionaire himself, who turned 28 years old (both events happened on the same day - May 14).

About a hundred guests were invited to the celebration in a house in Palo Alto. But many did not even suspect that they had arrived at the wedding. At the same time, it is reported that Mark and Priscilla had been preparing for the wedding for five months.

However, the ceremony was not very luxurious. The bride was wearing a relatively modest dress worth about $ 75,000. The groom chose a standard dark suit and tie.

Guests were treated to grilled vegetables and sushi. For dessert, mice-shaped chocolate cakes were served.

According to the media, Chan Zuckerberg met 27-year-old Priscilla more than nine years ago. Moreover, the first meeting of the future spouses cannot be called romantic - they met in line to the toilet at one of the student parties, while studying at Harvard.

In 2007, Chan graduated from biology and spent a year as a science teacher at The Harker School in San Jose, California. In 2008, the girl quit her teaching career and entered the medical faculty to “become a doctor”.

The young people officially declared themselves a couple in March 2011, and in June the couple moved to Mark's home in Palo Alto, California.
