Studded lace in the new Alexander McQueen collection

It is quite difficult to preserve traditions in the conditions of the current level of progress. But the Alexander McQueen fashion house not only cherishes traditions, but also tries to be a couple of steps ahead of fashion trends. The new collection presented at Paris Fashion Week is another striking example of this.

Creative designer Sarah Burton has managed to pleasantly surprise fashion critics again. While most fashion designers rely on lace, Sarah is already actively experimenting with it. The new collection features a striking combination of delicate lace with rough studded leather. And looking at the original outfits, it suddenly becomes quite clear - lace and leather are just made for each other.

The collection also includes interesting knitted dresses with unusual color combinations and dresses in the "new gothic" style. The latter, as you know, was especially revered by the founder of the fashion house, Alexander McQueen. And Burton always said that she would be guided by the late fashion designer.

“He was a real genius. Inspirational, funny, incredible, - Sarah emphasized more than once. - I could never even try to replace him, but now that I look back, I am glad that I took this job - because it saved his atelier, his spirit and our team. Because if it all just disappeared, why did he work so hard all these years?"
