What is self-isolation in coronavirus

All the rules of self-isolation and quarantine are established by the Chief Sanitary Doctor of the country. The meaning of self-isolation is to minimize all contacts of a particular person with others. This principle implies the absence of meetings with friends and relatives with whom people do not live together.

Under this regime, it is practically impossible to go outside or it is allowed to leave the house only when it is necessary to purchase food products or medicines.

Self-isolation is not assigned to everyone. Mostly it applies only to those citizens who have recently arrived from states in which the epidemic is raging. It also concerns those people who contacted them.

The minimum self-isolation period is 2 weeks, as symptoms usually appear during this time. If this does not happen, then the person is considered healthy, and there is no need for further quarantine.

Many Russians are worried about whether self-isolation is paid for in the case of coronavirus, because otherwise, even buying the necessary products will become an insoluble task.

The list of places prohibited from visiting includes not only entertainment establishments, but also educational establishments and many offices. However, if the suspension from work is forced, then the employer is obliged to take care of the welfare of his employees.

What responsibilities do the employer have?

For the duration of the quarantine measures, the employer must issue a separate order, according to which employees will be transferred to self-isolation with the preservation of wages. Due to the difficult epidemiological situation, provide conditions for their normal existence.

The employer informs the employees about the preventive measures that will now be in effect on the territory of the enterprise. All people who returned from a business trip, especially if they were leaving for Moscow or abroad, should be quarantined.

How the documentation is drawn up before leaving for self-isolation

According to official documents, the quarantine to which employees are sent is a period of temporary incapacity for work, therefore it is issued on a sick leave. Nevertheless, the very process of its registration is somewhat different from the standard one. First of all, any contacts between the employee and the employee of the HR department are excluded.

The employee must send an application for a sick leave in electronic form, which is easy to do through a personal account on the website of the State Services or another state body. If, before sending an employee to quarantine, he is examined by a doctor, then it is the doctor who must issue a certificate of temporary disability.

If the employee is not registered in the system, then he can draw up a document through an already registered person, for example, through a personnel employee of the enterprise. You will need to attach the following documents to the application:

1. Copies of the passport in electronic form, as well as copies of pages that confirm that the employee was abroad. These must be documents with photographs and customs stamps.
2. An electronic ticket or a photo of a travel document, which confirms that the employee was in a particular country (this is done if there are no customs stamps on the above documents).
3. Photos or scanned documents that confirm that the employee lives with a person who recently returned from abroad (this is done if the employee has not traveled himself, but one of his close people has recently traveled abroad).

Further, information is exchanged between the Social Insurance Fund and medical institutions. From there, all information goes to the medical organization and the employee is issued a sick leave in electronic form.

Remuneration for coronavirus

All payments go to the employee's account exclusively from the FSS. The task of the enterprise is to transfer all the necessary information there. All information is transmitted within two days, after which the employee receives the payment as follows:

• for the first week - within 1 working day after receiving the information by the FSS;
• for the following days - one day after the end of the quarantine measures.

Thus, for the period of self-isolation, the employer is obliged to issue an appropriate order, on the basis of which sick leave certificates will be issued to employees. If an employee comes from a business trip, especially a foreign one, then he must immediately spend 2 weeks in self-isolation, and send all documents in electronic form.
