Maxim Galkin criticized the sculpture of a modern artist, which will be installed on Bolotnaya Square in Moscow

A sculpture of the Swiss artist Urs Fischer entitled "Big Clay No. 4" will soon be unveiled on Bolotnaya Square in Moscow. It used to stand in Florence in the square in front of the Romanesque Old Palace in Piazza Signorio, the country's most important public building for several centuries.

Maxim Galkin did not like this idea, and he made fun of the sculpture, which, in his opinion, looks more like a "poop". The comedian and presenter recorded a video from his garden near the Castle in the village of Gryaz. He did not hesitate to tell what he thinks about the sculpture of the famous artist and explained why he considers the idea of its installation on a square in Russia, at least, wrong.

“I could not ignore this news. The 12-meter sculpture, may Urs Fischer forgive me and the foundation that puts it on, resembles a stack of not very neat shit,”laughs Maxim

Galkin adds that this is a nightmare. He understands that this is contemporary art, but he cannot accept the fact that now Russian citizens will have to admire it. The representatives of the foundation are sure that the sculpture is beautiful, if only because it stood in Florence, New York, in the middle of skyscrapers. That is, a priori it cannot look bad.

“But you never know where there was. Florentines can move away and take a break from contemporary art at the works of Michelangelo and Lorenzo Ghiberti, and we can get to the nearest Prince if only to run to rest. Well, because it's awful. It's really disgusting and disgusting,”Galkin shares his opinion

Maxim is sure that this sculpture by Urs Fischer has no meaning and no art. The presenter does not understand "why no one will say that the king is naked." He is sure that such artists are just mediocre people who hide the lack of real talent behind some kind of free forms, they say, that's how I see it.

At the same time, the artist reminds that there are many talented artists in Russia who create beautiful sculptures and other works of art. They just need to be supported. But instead, the foundation invests money in this kind of "art", but does not help to reveal the talent of standing modern young guys.
