In March 2021, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree to change the mechanism for assigning and calculating child benefits. The established procedure will remain in effect in 2022, so parents need to know how to apply for compensation and what documents will be required.

Types of federal assistance

In order to implement a program to improve demography and provide support to parents, the state establishes a number of payments, depending on the age of the minor and the financial situation of the family.

One-time payment at birth

Federal compensation is indexed every year from February 1st. The insurance company is responsible for its calculation and transfer. The fund transfers money exclusively to the card of the Russian payment system Mir.

When twins, triplets appear, money is credited for each new family member. If the child is stillborn, the woman is not eligible for compensation.

Allowance for caring for a child up to 1, 5 years old

You can start applying for a child allowance in 2022 right after the BiR vacation. Any family member caring for the baby (father, grandmother, uncle, aunt and others) can become the recipient.

The funds are transferred to the recipient's card directly from the FSS. If the mother (father, another relative) combines childcare with work, the payment is made by the company's accounting department.

Accrual amount

In accordance with general rules, the amount of compensation is 40% of the average income. There is a fixed amount for students and unemployed parents. Now the maximum payment amount is 29,600.48 rubles, the minimum is 7,082.85 rubles.

How and when to issue

The application is submitted at the place of work. If the applicant is unemployed, you must contact the department of social security. This must be done no later than 6 months from the moment the child reaches 1, 5 years of age.

Regardless of the date of appeal, the child allowance in 2022 will be accrued for the entire period of the parental leave.

Monthly allowance up to 3 years

The payment is assigned when the child reaches the age of 1, 5 years and is provided to families in need, whose average per capita income is below the established standards (2 LM).

During the entire period of using state support, parents must confirm the right to receive it twice: when the baby turns 1 and 2 years old.

Parents receive compensation for the first child from the state treasury, and for the second child - from the maternity capital.

Child benefits from 3 to 7 years

A few days ago, the head of state signed a decree, according to which the rules for calculating this type of compensation are changing. The changes affected the procedure for determining the criteria of need - now the payment will be assigned in a targeted order.

Who is entitled to

One of the parents (legal representatives) of a child of the specified age can become the recipient. At the same time, the average per capita income of a family should not exceed the LM established in the territory of the constituent entity of the Russian Federation for the II quarter of the year preceding the appeal.

Accrual amount

The calculation of the child allowance in 2022 will be carried out according to a three-stage system:

2. If the deadline is missed, then from the date of the request.

The applicant is exempt from collecting documents, since all information is received by the social security authorities within the framework of interdepartmental interaction.

One of the determining factors in the appointment of any type of child benefit in 2022 is the availability of Russian citizenship for both a minor and an adult applying for payment.

Changes have been made to the state support program, thanks to which the circle of recipients of MC has significantly expanded.

Now the families where the first child was born will receive help from the state treasury.

The size of the MC is determined by the order in which the heirs appear:

• on the first - 483 881, 83 rubles;
• on the second - 155,550 rubles.

Families where the second or subsequent baby appeared after December 31, 2019, will receive 639,431.83 rubles, but provided that the family did not apply for federal assistance.

The certificate is issued in the name of:

• mothers;
• a single father raising an adopted child;
