We all understand perfectly well that the constant wearing of high heels does not reflect in the best way on the condition of our legs. Beauty still requires sacrifice. We try to ignore the deformity of the foot and continue to walk in high heels. Fortunately, British scientists have decided to enter our position and promise to soon develop an effective cure for the "disease of high heels."

The ratio of men and women with flat feet is 1:10. Even if we take into account other factors leading to the appearance of the problem, it must be admitted that the influence of heels on the development of foot deformities is undeniable (men do not wear heels).

Scientists from the University of East Anglia have found that the cause of flat feet in women who spend many hours in heels is a weakened tendon in the foot. In turn, special proteins and enzymes produced by the body are to blame.

Previously, researchers from the University of Northumbria, having studied the reaction of men to women who wear high-heeled shoes and women who prefer solid soles, came to the conclusion that most gentlemen do not notice what a girl is wearing. They are much more interested in her figure and plasticity in movements.

Scientists believe that by affecting enzymes, the development of flat feet, which usually affects women over 40, can be prevented. Dr. Graham Riley is sure: it is the high-heeled shoes that do not support the leg properly and, as a result, the tendons weaken, writes Meddaily.ru. Heels change the position of the body, increasing the load on the ball of the foot. And the constant wearing of heels leads to tension in the pelvic joint and knees, which increases the risk of osteoarthritis, back problems, and finger pathology.

Unfortunately, according to Riley's forecasts, it is unlikely that there will be a real remedy for flat feet anytime soon, acting on enzymes. However, progress in resolving this issue is already noticeable. But nevertheless, for now, experts recommend that women not get carried away with wearing high-heeled shoes.
