- The fear that at the last moment my memory will suddenly fail and I will lie to my words is one of the strongest on the stage. And not only me. I remember how Irina Arkhipova always composed words very nicely at concerts. Sometimes you give out such pearls that you yourself then wonder how you could get into rhyme.

- Luciano Pavarotti finished singing at the age of seventy. How many would you like to sing to?

- How many will work out. The aging process is different for everyone. Some lose their voice at 50, others later. Pavarotti sounded like a nightingale a few years ago, but now it's a pity to listen. Something happened to him after the death of his father. The eyes went out. Today he is different. I myself think with horror of my 60th or 70th birthday.

- Do you have any musical preferences besides classical music?

- Pop? No. Rock? No. What kind of music do you mean? For me, listening to music is a lot of emotional work. Therefore, I only listen to what I want to listen to. For me, music is a treasure, a jewel. In this regard, modern musical trends do not interest me.

- You live abroad. Are your children being brought up in the Russian spirit?

- I can't even imagine how they can be brought up outside of Russian culture! I can't imagine myself without Russia. Although my two children live in London and only one is constantly with me, I try to make them visit our country as often as possible.

- You give the impression of a very athletic person.

- Of course, I keep myself in shape, but I don't seriously go in for sports. My parents and mother nature gave me a lot.
