What kind of wedding can be called truly original? Some couples celebrate in space, underwater, in a shoe store and even a public toilet. But all these events look pale in comparison with the wedding marathon of one of the British couples. Mark and Denise Duffield-Thomas have been married 85 times in the past six months. It is not surprising that in the end the "newlyweds" got into the Guinness Book of Records.

Mark and Denise got the record break when they were hired by a honeymoon travel company. The young people were chosen from 30 thousand applicants and appointed as “wedding testers”.

Mark and Denise met while still students in 2002. They played their first wedding in 2008. Despite the fact that their names have already been entered in the Guinness Book of Records, young people are not averse to arranging another, and possibly two, wedding ceremonies.

Duffield-Thomas's primary responsibilities were to travel the world, get married in different locations, and then report the ceremony to employers. The couple was allocated six months for this work. The lovers began to fulfill their duties in New York in May 2010.

In addition to the USA, Ireland and Zanzibar, Mark and Denise visited Australia, Thailand, Mauritius, Indonesia, Jordan and other countries. Now that the couple's work as "wedding testers" has ended, they intend to return to their regular professions.

According to the lovers, the most romantic wedding for them was the ceremony at a resort in Zanzibar, and the most unusual one was the marriage in Ireland, where they had to marry in a room where the temperature reached -43 degrees Celsius. “We were only able to withstand three minutes. We kissed in special protective masks, otherwise we would have stuck to each other,”said Denise.
