Researchers, as if by agreement, continue to amaze believing Christians before Easter. At the end of last week, Israeli scientists announced that they had found the nails with which Christ was nailed to the crucifixion. A few days ago, a researcher from Cambridge suggested that the Last Supper of Jesus and his disciples did not take place on Thursday, as is commonly believed, but a day earlier.
Professor Colin Humphrey, having studied the Gospels of Mark, Luke, Matthew, believes that they used an older calendar than the one used by the Apostle John. Thus, he concluded that the Last Supper took place on Wednesday, April 1, 33 AD.
At the same time, the further events described in the Bible - arrest, interrogation and trials - took not one night, as is commonly believed, but more than a day, which, according to Humphrey, is more like the truth.
The scientist hopes that his research will help establish a fixed day for celebrating Easter, which, in his opinion, should fall on the first Sunday in April.
To prove his point of view, he uses textual analysis of the Bible, as well as historical and astronomical research. In his book The Mystery of the Last Supper, he emphasizes that while the Apostles Matthew, Mark and Luke associate the Last Supper with the beginning of the Jewish holiday of Passover, the Apostle John the Theologian claims that this event took place before the start of the Jewish holiday. “This mystery has baffled Bible students for centuries. It has even been noted that this is one of the most difficult questions in the Bible,”he points out.
According to Professor Humphrey, the stumbling block is that the apostles used two different calendars: Mark, Matthew and Luke - the Hebrew one that has been in use since the time of Moses, and John - the official lunar calendar of that time. “The Gospel of John notes that the Last Supper was held before the Passover meal in accordance with the Hebrew calendar,” the professor says.

Moreover, not only potential applicants, but also employers show interest in it, because quite often today you can find the phrase in vacancy announcements: "Higher education, second higher education is welcome." In principle, this is not surprising. After all, how often do we choose our future profession, preparing for admission after school? Just out of idle curiosity, but out of love for the claim
