At the mobile congress in Barcelona, mobile operator Vodafone unveiled the cheapest phone in the world, the Vodafone 150, which costs $ 15.
However, as noted by the tabloids, Vodafone 150 may not be the cheapest mobile phone. In 2009, the Venezuelan company Vetelca, with the help of the Chinese manufacturer ZTE, created the budget Vergatario phone. The device works in CDMA networks, is equipped with a VGA-camera and contains a media player. At the same time, the declared value is slightly below $ 15.
The new mobile phone has a minimum of functions: it allows you to make voice calls, send and receive SMS, and also supports mobile payments. Vodafone 150 will first appear in India, Turkey and eight African countries including Lesotho, Kenya and Ghana.
The more expensive version, the Vodafone 250, comes with a color screen and FM radio. Its cost will be about $ 20.
