There is still a fierce discussion between scientists about the effect of a mobile phone on the human body. Opponents of cellular communications argue that radiation from phones is harmful to health. Proponents, on the contrary, appeal to the fact that there is no direct evidence of the harm of mobile phones. However, Swedish scientists recently noted through research that the use of cell phones does lead to noticeable changes at the biological level.
Employees at Örebro University found that after prolonged communication on a cell phone, the level of a protein called transthyretin rises in the body. This discovery gives researchers the right to talk about changes noticeable at the biological level.
Recently, Swedish researchers also found that children and adolescents who actively use mobile phones are more likely to experience health problems than their “technically retarded” peers. The list of the most common disorders includes headaches and decreased ability to concentrate.
The authorities of different countries are already taking preventive measures. For example, in the United States, the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) sets emission limits for cell phones. To obtain the certificate, the equipment manufacturer must submit an opinion drawn up based on the results of an independent analysis.
Meanwhile, the American Public Health Association, an organization for the protection of the American nation, is studying the problem of the harm from typing through a mobile phone with one or another keyboard. As it turned out, many of those who send messages at least several times every day complain of pain in their shoulders. Tellingly, this mainly concerns the male half of the respondents; women did not have such complaints.

While scientists are fiercely debating the health effects of mobile phones, manufacturers are trying to win over consumers. Today, the focus is not only on functionality, but also on cost. And it seems that now the widespread means of communication will not be classified as luxury goods, even in poor developing countries.
The mobile phone is dangerous for pregnant women
Pregnant women who like to talk on a cell phone are more likely to have problem children. These results were obtained by researchers from the University of Aarhus (Denmark) and the University of California (USA). Doctors equated a mobile phone with such factors as smoking, alcohol, depression and food allergies that are dangerous to the health of a pregnant woman and her fetus, reports The Daily Mail.

Still, mobile phones are not safe for health. According to Swedish scientists, one hour of cell phone calls a day doubles the risk of developing a malignant tumor in the hemisphere from which the person is holding the phone. Swedish doctors have examined people who have been actively using communications for more than ten years.
