A tragedy struck at the Mariinsky Theater last week. 55-year-old choreographer Sergei Vikharev died suddenly during the installation of an implant in dentistry. Relatives are preparing for the funeral, and law enforcement agencies are investigating.
Farewell to Vikharev is scheduled for June 8 in the foyer of the mezzanine of the Mariinsky Theater (historical stage). The choreographer will be buried at the Serafimovskoye cemetery.
The artist died on June 2 in a private dentistry. According to the press, Vikharev had a tooth removed and an implant installed. The potent drug propofol was administered as a pain reliever. During anesthesia, the man's heart stopped, he stopped breathing. Doctors tried to revive the artist, but after half an hour they were forced to pronounce death.
Now the Main Investigation Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia in St. Petersburg is conducting a pre-investigation check into the death of Vikharev. A number of examinations are planned, medical documents are seized. "At present, a set of verification measures is being carried out aimed at clarifying all the circumstances of the incident," according to the website of the UK.
