As part of his debut show, Galliano managed not only to remind the public of his passion for extravagant shocking, but also to do it in the spirit of Margiela. Daring, rock 'n' roll combinations of things, deliberately rude trimmings, lace, fringe, ribbons, even a crown, all with a clear hint of punk in a grotesque form. The highlight of the collection was a mask trimmed with rhinestones, pearls and sequins (like the one worn by Kanye West in his performances).
