The Internet has become my faithful friend for some time now. What else to wish for: I ask - he performs (mostly quickly, and if you have to wait for something longer, then only reproaches to the provider). With his help, I send personal correspondence with one hundred percent certainty that he will not tell anyone how many times I kissed Max in my letter and why Dima didn’t get anything. And thanks to him, every day, with a sinking heart, I open my mailbox, read heart-warming "love", endless "miss", persistent "when you arrive" and edifying "be smart." While my walks around the virtual space were from the category of "once upon a time", I never thought about the rules for using the Internet. Now, when I hang around the network around the clock, I know "what is good and what is bad." I have dealt with my "darkness", you are sure, too, dream of bringing clarity.

Then read the unspoken rules of using e-mail:

1. Check the contents of your mailbox regularly. If you do not have constant access to the network, and your forays into the Internet are of a chaotic and chaotic nature, then set up your e-mail so that your answering machine will answer all messages that come to you like this: thanks for the letter, I received it, in I will definitely answer it in the nearest future; good luck and see you soon. Write an automatic answer in two languages: Russian and English.

2. Try to answer them promptly as you receive emails. In most cases, you are not required to write a sequel novel. A couple of phrases are enough. The lack of an answer is tantamount to refusing your loved one to have sex, referring to a headache.

3. Always include the main subject in your letter. This will make it easier for the recipient of your message to choose the most important among the large number of letters that came to his address. Scribble a couple of words in the subject line, such as: Urgent, Offer of cooperation, Personal - it won't bother you. When sending a letter, use the usual test code win or koi, otherwise the addressee will simply not be able to read the message from you.

4. Type words better in ARIAL or Times New Roman.

5. After each e-mail, be sure to indicate your data: name, surname, patronymic (if you consider it necessary), position, place of work, phone number, e-mail address. But this signature should not be too long: fit everything into several lines (up to 4 lines).

6. When registering your name on one of the mail servers, it is better to write it in English. Suddenly you will have to communicate with foreign citizens, this will facilitate their guesses about how to contact you. In addition, knowledge of a foreign language and the ability to write in it will increase your status.

7. You can attach additional materials to the e-mail: photos, MP3 music, video clips. But be careful. If you need to send a sufficient number of pictures to your friend, then do this procedure in several letters. A large message will take a very long time to load.

8. If you need to attach a text file to a letter, then it is better to write it in TXT format, it will take up less space than the same document in DOC or RTF format.

9. People are always wary of letters in their inbox with the EXE extension. The whole fear lies in the following: it is they who can carry all kinds of viruses that lead to a malfunction of the computer or the destruction of its contents.

10. Create an address book on your mailbox, in which you store the e-mails of the people you write to most often.

11. Periodically clean your mailbox, if you do not do this, then at one point the mailbox may become overloaded and will automatically erase all the letters that came later to you. If you are sorry to part with some messages, then create separate folders in which you put them.

12. An important point in virtual correspondence is quoting. It is not necessary to repeat the entire correspondence in its entirety, it is enough to refer to individual phrases of your interlocutor, comment on them, and give your assessment of what is happening. This is a kind of courtesy gesture towards the addressee, because he could already forget what he said to you in the letter.

13. Often, your mailbox can receive letters containing advertising or commercial messages that are immediately sent to the darkness of people, and not to you personally. If you are not interested, delete it immediately without opening it. And you should not reply to this message by threatening or warning that you will write again - I will infect your computer with a virus. In this case, it is better to ignore the person who sent it.

Be polite not only in the virtual space, but also in normal life.
