McGregor's World Tour Completed

Actor friends Ewan McGregor and Charley Boorman have returned home from an almost world-class motorcycle trip.

In April, friends met in London, said goodbye to their wives and loved ones, gathered food and tobacco in a bundle, as it should be, and hit the road. Adventurers McGregor and Burman traveled twenty thousand miles, visiting Europe, Russia, Siberia, Kazakhstan, Mongolia, Alaska and the North American continent. The final destination of the route is New York.

During the trip, the friendly couple had a lot of opportunities to test their fortitude and tickle their nerves. For example, in Mongolia, they survived a downpour and a serious storm, Ananova reports. Because of the bad weather, the roads were flooded, and the motorcycle got stuck in the swamp every now and then. "When we once again tried to drive across the river, the motorcycle ran into a huge boulder hidden under the water," McGregor shared his impressions.

They filmed all their adventures on camera. Now that the thirst for thrills has been quenched, the travelers will begin editing the footage and make a seven-part documentary entitled "Long Way Round".

Also during the halts, McGregor and Burman organized concerts and performances to the delight of local residents. They will donate all proceeds to the United Nations Children Fund. There are simply no words, what great fellows.
