Why did Julia Vysotskaya shave her head? This question plagued the public for several days. A lot of assumptions were put forward, many guesses were built. Finally, the actress explained herself. As expected, the reason turned out to be obvious - sacrifices for the sake of art.

Now Vysotskaya is busy filming a new picture of her husband, director Andrei Konchalovsky. In the film "Paradise" the actress plays one of the main roles, a member of the French Resistance Olga Kamenskaya. And according to the plot, at some point the heroine has to get rid of her curls.

The events of the painting "Paradise" unfold during the Second World War. This is a story about people of completely different classes and nationalities - a Russian émigré named Olga, a member of the French Resistance, a high-ranking SS officer Helmuth, and a French collaborator Jules. “The picture will be about evil, universal evil. Filming will take place in Russia, Germany and possibly Poland,”the filmmaker said about the project.

As Julia admitted, despite the fact that she was preparing for the role, shaving her head was a surprise for her.

“I had no idea that I would be shaved bald. Andrei Sergeevich waved away for several months and said indifferently: "Oh, if you cut your hair, you will see there." According to the actress, Konchalovsky was ruthless and on the set gave instructions to shave his spouse with a special typewriter.

“Shaving at 42 is not exactly the same as shaving at 28,” Vysotskaya complained in an interview with Woman.ru. “You’re losing - I don’t even know what to call it correctly… Well, let’s say, I wake up - somewhere swollen, tired, tortured, bruises, bags. I think it's okay: now I'll stick something like that on my head. Now what should I do?"
