Surely, there is a "white crow" among your colleagues. This is such a creature detached from the team that you call "on your mind" in the office. Have you ever felt yourself different from everyone else? And when you come to a new workplace, you do not notice that sometimes it is not easy to instantly join the team? One way or another, at least once in our life we had to feel ourselves "alone in the field."

A person in a team is a topic known to everyone, and how sometimes it is not easy to join a new team, here are a few stories:

Olga, 25 years old:

“I somehow happened to work in a women's team. For some reason, these ladies did not like me, and they began to do various nasty things to me: they“lost”my documents, substituted them at meetings, covered them with dirty gossip. all day among people who all hate you in unison?”The only support was provided by a few representatives of the stronger sex who worked in our company, which caused even more irritation in my female team., and I'm the only one right. Now I think that it could be something like that. All that remained was to somehow resolve this issue, since work in eternal "tension" openly ruffled my nerves and even forced me to start smoking. evil. The second stage was already easier. I decided to bribe all our women: I gave them gifts, wore sweets for tea. Maybe it looked like outright sycophancy, but the cold ok between us began to subside."

In fact, the hardest part is getting over your pride. If you easily make concessions and are not vindictive, then success in the team is guaranteed to you. Another thing is that when you have already done nasty things, it is difficult to get over the grievances, however, it is extremely necessary! There should be no place for pride at work! Self-confidence - yes; self-esteem - yes; pride is not.

The second rule: the ability to be friends. Not always talking about cosmetics, husbands or wives can unite you with the team. You need to be more active in the lives of your colleagues. Of course, you can take on some simple social activities (for example, a collective trip to the pool or fundraising for an employee's birthday), or you can just bring a cake to the office. Just because it's raining outside and you wanted to cheer everyone up. Yes, this is bribery, but how effective it is.

Third, never show your emotions at work. Especially if it's anger. Yes, each of us can be brought to white heat at any moment. Go to the bathroom, bite your nails, yell at the sink, and come back with a confident smile on your face. If they do nasty things to you, you can ignore them, respond in kind or have a conversation with a person, but if these small dirty tricks affect your work (your report is stolen or files are erased from your computer), this is no longer a joke. Here it is urgently necessary to contact the authorities and resolve the conflict at the official level.

I do not want to say that a person in a team needs to adapt to the team. Just be careful. However, there is another way of self-affirmation in the team.

Nastya, 26 years old:

“I worked for half a year in a team where I didn’t really even know who’s name. When my colleagues all went to lunch or to some club after work, I was deeply worried that I didn’t fit in.”Sadly, I spent evenings in the office at work, while colleagues were amicably relaxing in nature. And then a new employee came to us. I began to notice that in a week she found a common language with all the employees in the office with amazing ease. I began to follow her on the sly - to adopt the experience of "correct" communication.

She always spent time in public: now she drinks tea with the girls, then smokes with the guys on the porch; and she will always please everyone: she will give Denis a plaster for calluses, borrow money for Yulia, give Katya perfume … Over time, she stopped pleasing, but her reputation as a sweet, caring and good girl in the team was fixed. And my team didn't like me more and more. They said that I was clever a lot, I was sitting with an always businesslike air at the computer, doing something, writing …

In general, they did not like my "strange" habit of working at work. The conflict flared up. It almost came to a fight. And it was with that sweet new employee. Offended at everyone and everything, I went to the director with a letter of resignation. The boss listened to everything that happened and signed a statement, just not about leaving: he sent me on vacation. Upon my return, I went to the office and trembled like an aspen leaf: I imagined a picture of me being met with pitchforks and shovels and shouting: "Burn the witch!" When I went to my workplace, having greeted everyone beforehand, I managed to notice how slowly my colleagues' faces were drawn out. They, it turns out, were sure that I would not return. And then the director promoted me to the head of the department and, as the Bible says, the latter became the first. When I began to lead the "rebels", they were already interested in friendship with me. It didn't matter at all whether I gave perfume to someone or not. I worked and with my hard work and diligence eventually won the honor, respect and friendship of my colleagues.

A person in a team: nevertheless, the situation at work can be surprising, and indeed in any team. Indeed, indeed, if you are a professional in your field, then this very quality will be appreciated in the team. This does not mean that, having won respect, you will also immediately win the friendship of colleagues. But we need to learn to "bribe" the team not only with cakes, but also with our individual, unique human qualities, talents and professionalism.
