This year, the Ministry of Education is introducing innovations that were presented back in 2020 in exams for graduates following the results of basic school. For this reason, it is important to know what changes have been made to the OGE in the Russian language in 2021.

Exam test structure

The latest news of the FIPI quite fully reflects the structure of the exam in the Russian language. Graduates of 9th grade will have to pass an oral interview on the subject, and then show how they learned to apply the theoretical knowledge gained in practice.

Traditionally, the oral part of the Russian language takes place in early February. Graduates must show their skills in reading, retelling the text. They will also need to compose a text on the proposed topic and answer the teacher's questions.

The written exam in Russian is traditionally expected for 9th grade graduates in May 2021. The test consists of three parts.

Let's talk about each in more detail:

1. In the first part, students must write a presentation. The organizer puts on the disc with the recorded text. He can do this no more than 2 times. Students should reproduce the listened text in a concise manner using the necessary decompression techniques, and then write it down in the answer sheet. For the task, you can get up to 7 primary points.
2. In the second part, graduates must correctly answer 7 tasks. They will have to show their knowledge of spelling, vocabulary, syntax, punctuation. Also, students should show how carefully they read the text, and indicate the means of expression. Each correct answer is worth 1 or 2 points.
3. The third part consists of an essay. Graduates can choose from one of the writing options. You can get a maximum of 9 points for it.

Literacy is assessed cumulatively by composition and presentation. It is possible to score 10 points for completing both works. The graduate must show how he is spelling vigilance, speaks, punctuation, grammar.

What is changing in the exam in 2021

In the process of preparing for the examinations, which will be held next spring, some changes were announced in the OGE in the Russian language and some other subjects in 2021. This is due to the fact that the maximum reform of the rating system is taking place.

Today's 9th graders studied at school according to new standards, and it is for this reason that the old grading system did not fit. Experts have made the following changes to the exam tests:

1. Previously, graduates had to demonstrate their theoretical knowledge. In this year's assignments, children need to be shown how much they have learned to apply the knowledge gained as a result of studying the Russian language in practice.
2. The total number of tasks has been reduced: from 15 to 9.
3. The developers of the OGE and the Ministry of Education will present a decrease in the maximum primary score. It dropped to 33. Previously, the maximum possible score was 39 primary points.
4. Each task can have an indefinite number of correct answers: from 2 to 5.
5. The genre specificity of texts for writing a concise presentation is expanding (task number 1). In addition to fiction, there may be journalistic, memoir, scientific texts.

FIPI leaves three parts in the KIM OGE in the Russian language. This exam is similar to the version of previous years. In tests following the results of learning some other subjects, children make a CMM consisting of 2 parts.

Whether or not there will be an OGE in the Russian language in 2021

In the spring of 2020, due to the pandemic caused by the spread of coronavirus infection, the OGE was canceled. At first, the authorities refused to take elective tests, and then completely abandoned the exam. This gave hope to today's 9th graders that such a relaxation will be made for them as well.

In Russia, the situation with the spread of coronavirus infection continues to worsen. Many schools in the country have switched to distance learning. Despite this, judging by the latest news from official sources, including FIPI, the OGE in 2021 will take place anyway.

Sergey Kravtsov and Anna Popova at a recent briefing on this issue said that the OGE will take place in the spring of 2021. It will be held at a time when it will be safest for children. Perhaps for this, the dates for the OGE 2021 have been shifted.

The OGE in Russian is one of the required exams. To successfully pass it, graduates should start preparing now. The tests for 9th graders will not be canceled, as in 2020.
