What to give your women for a holiday? This question seriously torments even the most self-confident macho. And what do women want to get themselves? As a rule, it is not at all what they are presented with.

If you believe the results of the latest poll by the All-Russian Center for the Study of Public Opinion (VTsIOM), the most common gift that respondents plan to present to their beloved ladies on International Women's Day is flowers (40%). There are also a lot of those who intend to give souvenirs, postcards, purses (31% of the respondents) or sweets (26%), as well as those who opted for perfumery, cosmetics, bijouterie (22%) or toys (10%). More expensive gifts, to which, in addition to jewelry, sociologists for some reason included clothes, shoes and household appliances, are presented by men only in 3-5% of cases. At the same time, 6% of respondents plan to solve the problem of gifts in a completely trivial way - to hand over money. However, 11% are not going to give anything to anyone that day. True, these are mainly representatives of the older generation - those who are over 60.

On March 8, men would not hurt to reconsider their too conservative attitude towards gifts and switch from flowers to something more original and worthwhile, according to experts in family relations. Moreover, as practice shows, an unsuccessful present can destroy even the strongest family.

In the meantime, a poll was recently conducted in Runet on the topic: “What present on March 8 did you like the most?”, Reports “Komsomolskaya Pravda”. The answers of the ladies have convincingly proved that their aspirations almost do not coincide with the intentions of men: the leaders of the rating, as expected, turned out to be expensive gifts. Some gladly noted the "rear axle gearbox" presented to them, as well as "a necklace with diamonds", "a bag that I licked on for a year", "a subscription to a fitness club", vouchers to resorts and trips to Paris. But only a few of the respondents were happy with the bouquets.
