The song passions of Lisbon had not yet died down, as everyone had already managed to fix their eyes on Israel. Almost from the first day after the completion of the competition last year, people began to discuss the new Eurovision 2019, and, of course, those who will go from Russia this time. The Russians are passionately rooting for their country and after such a devastating failure they want to show their full maximum.

Will Russia take part in Eurovision 2019

Despite the fact that Yulia Samoilova, representing Russia at the International Competition last year, did not make it to the final selection, Russia will be able to take part in this year's event. In the rules that have been established by the European Broadcasting Union, there is no indication that a country that has not reached the final will no longer be able to participate in Eurovision.

Thus, Russia will take part in the competition if it fulfills a number of rules:

  • the competitor must be over 16 years old;
  • the song must be performed live;
  • the composition must be new (its press release must take place no earlier than September 1 of the previous year).

In winter, it will already become known who exactly will go to Eurovision 2019 from Russia and with which song.

Where the Eurovision Song Contest 2019 will take place

As a rule, Eurovision should be held in the capital of the winning country. So, almost immediately after the victory of the shocking Netta Barzilai, Prime Minister Netanyahu announced where the Eurovision Song Contest 2019 will be held. Jerusalem was recognized as this city, but after a while rumors about Tel Aviv appeared, but so far none of the cities officially approved.

Possible venues for the next competition may include:

  1. Jerusalem. The national conference center, which has twice hosted Eurovision participants, may disappear automatically, since its capacity is only 3,100 seats. The capacity of the Jerusalem Arena stadium is approximately 15 thousand people, and this number is clearly not enough to qualify for the right to the key stage of the International Competition. Another stadium "Teddy" has 31,733 seats. But in contrast to the listed options, it has a very serious "but". First of all, the Jerusalem competition can be boycotted by a number of countries due to political and religious considerations. For example, Morocco has already announced this, although it took part in Eurovision only once in history. Among other things, the issue of participation is being discussed in Ireland, Iceland and England. Also, none of the stadiums has a permanent roof, which does not meet one of the main rules of the competition.
  2. Tel Aviv … The Menorah-Mivtakhim Palace cannot become a place for receiving guests due to the fact that it is designed for only 6 thousand spectators. In the second capital of Jerusalem, there is another very suitable place - the pavilion of the fairgrounds, with a capacity of about 10 thousand seats. However, the mayor of Tel Aviv is trying in every way to avoid Eurovision and has already given a statement about the advisability of holding the event in his city.
  3. Haifa. The Sammi Ofer stadium is capable of accommodating approximately 31 thousand spectators, but it will only be necessary to build a non-permanent floor in it. Moreover, the football matches taking place there will have to be rescheduled. A similar situation applies to the Toto Turner stadium in Beersheba.
  4. Also, a tourist city located in the Red Sea valley is considered as a possible venue. Eilat … However, it will have to build a concert hall from scratch.

The most memorable idea was to hold a competition at the very top of a cliff amid desert landscapes, in the Masada fortress. The exact time of exactly when the Eurovision 2019 broadcast will begin will be announced later.

New rules - latest news 2019

In addition to the question that interests everyone: "Who exactly will go to Eurovision 2019 from Russia", it is worth clarifying whether there will be significant changes in the rules of the competition. No significant innovations are foreseen, but minor adjustments will be made:

  1. The participating country will not have the right to send to the competition a performer who is prohibited from entering the territory of the state that accepts participants in the competition.
  2. The national jury of the participating countries must be independent and fair, make decisions honestly.
  3. The weight of the negative opinion of one of the judges decreased, pushing forward the assessment of the majority.

In all other respects, Eurovision remains in the usual format for all.

Performers from Russia: nominations

Rumors about who will still go to Eurovision 2019 from Russia are growing every day. Based on the latest news, the names of applicants for the role of a singer representing the whole country have become known.

Definitely, in addition to vocal data, the artist must show a real show, remembered by the audience. In the light of these parameters, we will consider potential participants.

Olga Buzova

No one doubted that in the coming year, the dazzling Olga Buzova will try her hand at taking part in the competition. The singer herself put forward her candidacy in an absolutely serious form, she said that she dreams of conquering not only the domestic, but also the world stage.

But the audience slightly doubts the artist's strengths, because the strongest vocalists of Europe must compete with her.

Manizha

Manizha - a young talented colorful performer who was able to achieve fame in a relatively short period of time. Her works are unusual (she herself writes music and lyrics), the clips are striking in their brightness and originality, and the girl herself actually stands out among the crowd.

There is a high probability that the performer can conquer audiences all over Europe thanks to her soulful voice.

Alexander Panayotov

Most TV viewers suspect that it is the winner of the Voice project that should be sent to Eurovision. Alexander has strong vocal abilities, and he himself has long been saying that he is not against performing on the European stage. But the bookmakers give the artist an extremely low chance of winning, because, in their opinion, he is old-fashioned and mediocre.

A strong voice is the main card in the singer's sleeve.

Philip Kirkorov

The king of the Russian stage wants to try his luck at Eurovision for the second time.

Egor Creed

Yegor Creed is one of the main contenders for participation in the competition. With a huge number of fans, Yegor can get the support of girls and other European countries. But is a popular rapper able, despite his drama, to impress all the members of the expert jury?

Sergey Lazarev

The singer has already represented Russia at a well-known competition, as a result of which he took an honorary "bronze" medal. Everyone knows that the artist is unusually strong with his vocals and talent. Last time, the jury underestimated his marks, and politics intervened, while Lazarev conceded the victory to Jamala.

It is possible that this time the artist wants to go to Israel to win.

Lena Temnikova

As a soloist of the popular group "Silver", Temnikova took 3rd place at Eurovision. Probably, this time the singer wants to "rest on her laurels" alone, especially since her solo career is developing rapidly.
