Surely you know from yourself: if a hysteria has begun, then it is almost impossible to stop it. The people around you annoy, everything is boiling inside, and you want to scream, cry, and sometimes even smash half of the room or office if a breakdown happened at work.

Needless to say, how awful we look at these moments? Bulging eyes, animal grin, mascara smeared, cheeks burning. Not pretty, is it? But what is hidden from prying eyes is much more terrible than an unattractive appearance: we are tense to the limit, and the head seems to be about to explode, we do not recognize ourselves, logical thinking turns off, giving way to something irrational and completely unusual for us. That is why usually calm people suddenly become too talkative, cry, laugh hysterically, get into a fight - in general, they behave more than inadequately.

Of course, such a state is easier to prevent than to try to cope with it, but since each of us falls into hysterics from time to time (there are too many reasons: from family problems to troubles at work), then we should know how to take ourselves into hands and again become calm and sane. 1. Get distracted. 3. Move. During a tantrum, it is better to start spinning circles around the room than yelling at someone for no reason and taking out anger at the innocent. Psychologists advise aggressive energy that overwhelms you, direct to a peaceful and harmless channel for others and spend it on movement.

By the way, physical activity is also a great way to relieve tension. It will be more correct to stand on a treadmill or stretch dumbbells than to strain your vocal cords.

4. Drink some water. If no one has yet had time to douse you with it, then it is better to take a glass of water yourself and drink it to the bottom. By the way, it will be useful to wash your face - rinse your face with cold water to soothe your temporarily clouded mind.

1. Give "go crazy". You should not persuade a person to calm down, enter into polemics with him and feel sorry for him. Any retaliatory actions on your part, you only feed the desire to hysteria further. Better just go to another room or pretend that you don't notice his inappropriate behavior at all. Let her calm down.

2. Take action. If you understand that a person goes too far and cannot control himself at all: yells at children, throws things, breaks dishes, then try to sober him up with some sharp and unexpected action.

You can slap him lightly, pinch his hand, or pour a glass of water over his head. It may seem wrong and even risky to you now, but sometimes a tantrum cannot be stopped in another way.
