I continue the story about my rehabilitation after the operation. On the third day, I came to the clinic to remove tampons from my nose. I heard a lot about this procedure, I was told that this is the most unpleasant thing in rhinoplasty. But I wanted to breathe through my nose so badly that at that moment no procedure could scare me. Indeed, everything went much easier than I expected. There was only a slight unpleasant sensation, and my head was a little dizzy, and in general the procedure was painless. They changed my tire. On the advice of Gevorg Khorenovich, I didn't look at the nose, it was still very edematous, so I decided to save my nerves. I have been assigned a date for the next appointment.

A week passed after rhinoplasty, with a positive mood I arrived for the second dressing. I already really wanted to see my nose. A very neat tip peeped out from under the plaster, and at that moment it seemed to me that my new nose should be very beautiful! The surgeon supported me in my decision to look at the result.

I understood why surgeons do not recommend looking at the nose on the fifth day and openly declare this: several days after the operation, it is very edematous and looks more like a pear. When I first saw my new nose, I got really nervous. However, the mind helped to suppress negative emotions: I understood that recovery takes time. But it's one thing to hear it in words, and quite another to see it on your face. Of course, I was very worried, waiting for the day of the next appointment - I was afraid to see the same nose as in the previous dressing.

And then came the day of removing the plaster. Even before the operation, I was not so worried! Gevorg Khorenovich freed my nose and put it in front of the mirror, for several seconds I could not bring myself to look at my reflection. And completely in vain! After all, my nose turned out to be very beautiful and neat! It became literally 2 times smaller than on the dressing!

Of course, there were still some small swellings, and the nose was lifted up quite strongly (this is necessary to give a beautiful shape, over time the tip will go down). But the beautiful shape is already visible, and it suits me very much !!! How much joy it was, you simply cannot imagine! With delight, I jumped and laughed

As soon as I quieted my excitement, the surgeon put a plaster on my NEW BEAUTIFUL nose. You need to walk with a bandage for 3-4 days. And that's it! After the plaster is removed, you just have to wait for the swelling to subside. By the way, I want to note that at the time of the removal of the plaster, not a trace of bruises remained.

A period of long and tedious waiting has come when I can finally see the final result of rhinoplasty. Like in the movies, I was counting down the days until my next appointment. Four, three, two, one … And this long-awaited day - I came to remove the plaster from my nose!

It was a little exciting, as Gevorg Khorenovich warned that after removing the splint, the nose starts to swell a little. I was afraid that under the patch my nose became large and swollen. Surprisingly, it was even slightly smaller than during the previous visit to the clinic.

The swelling gradually subsides, and the nose looks more and more beautiful every day. The nostrils are still slightly asymmetrical, this is due to edema. However, despite all this, the nose looks quite aesthetically pleasing, although only two weeks have passed since the operation. As the doctor said, the swelling will finally go away in 1-1.5 years

The surgeon once again talked about how to care for the nose, and set the date for my next visit. By the way, by the time the patch was removed, I was already fully breathing through my nose, in general, there were no problems with breathing at all, and this is very pleasing.

Separately, I would like to note that Gevorg Khorenovich is always in touch, in this regard he is a great fellow, for which a special huge thanks to him! I really appreciate the human and friendly attitude of the doctor towards his patients, and indeed between people in general.

There is practically no edema. Usually they are stronger, not symmetrical: a little more on the one hand, and less on the other. This is also not necessary to be afraid, everything gradually comes back to normal. It happens after removing the plaster, when we are already pasting the plaster and pulling the tip up, there is a feeling that the nose is a little crooked. But this is not so, the swelling is just not symmetrical. This is normal for the healing period and should not be feared. Swelling can temporarily change the shape of the nose, as excess skin remains and takes time to heal. We warn our patients about this. Of great importance is how the patient herself perceives the processes that take place with the nose. Lina is very adequate to this, she was completely ready for the operation, for a long time she went to this. And I think we were able to achieve the effect that both I and she wanted. psychologist's comment: Euphoria gives way to expectation, expectation gives way to anxiety, anxiety - to attempts to calm oneself. At this time (and this is very typical) the psyche of a woman is as fickle as her face. The mood changes as quickly as the shape of the nose, swelling, skin color. Sometimes it comes to panic attacks, especially when a girl is alone at home, trying to see something under the bandage. The tension is building up, and there is no one to talk to. Even knowing that the nose in the first weeks after the operation looks rather worse than before, we still worry. Sometimes it seems that he will remain like this FOR THE WHOLE LIFE! Lina feels all this, of course, hypertrophied, but this is part of the rehabilitation process. It is important here: 1. Sharing your doubts with a doctor - nothing will calm you like a confident word from a professional. 2. Know that all worries are natural. 3. Show patience and give the body time (this is the most difficult). The nose confidently "moves" to its ideal shape, and Lina's self-esteem too. The time is coming when it will literally "poke" and "flatten" from itself. And this is just the beginning! How do you measure something like that? It's very simple: all the energy that was spent on trying to accept herself as she is, on reconciliation with her nose, on suppressing discontent returns to Lina. And a lot of energy (that is, attention) flowed there - at every look in the mirror. In this regard, I think that sometimes it is easier to do an operation once and forget than to work on yourself for years and still feel discontent driven inside. Many psychologists will condemn me, well, let it be. It is quite obvious to me that if there is a safe way to change something, then it is better to do it than to force yourself with sophisticated psychological exercises. When there is a problem with being overweight, you must honestly lose weight, and not try to accept yourself like this.
