Almost every Facebook and Instragram user has an impressive archive of photos taken in the elevator, while on vacation, with a pet, photos of their own breakfast and a birthday cake. What about sex?

The #aftersex selfie is the latest buzz in the Instragram community. Couples in love enthusiastically take pictures after lovemaking and post on the web. Some partners look really satisfied in the pictures, some look scared, some just funny.

The new trend caused quite a heated discussion and provoked a lot of ridicule from critical users. And nevertheless, the fact remains: taking pictures after sex is incredibly fashionable nowadays.

According to experts, such a phenomenon - to demonstrate intimate details without special need - is transient.

“It’s like this happens when society is embracing new cultural platforms,” says Dr. Chris Chesher, digital culture specialist at the University of Sydney, about #aftersex-selfie. - New rules of use are established during the development of the platforms, and at these moments various incidents are possible. A platform like Facebook has been adopted over the years, and users have certain expectations for use. But now we are entering a period when early adopters of new platforms are becoming sensitive to the lack of norms, and their followers do not yet understand the full risks of being overly outspoken.”
