The 36-year-old Cumberbatch is now sporting a platinum wig on set and, according to colleagues, has gotten into the role in earnest. One of the frames of the film "The Fifth Estate" appeared on the web the day before. On set, Benedict was joined by German actor Daniel Brühl, who plays Assange's assistant, former WikiLeaks press secretary Daniel Domscheit-Berg, Laura Linney, Anthony Mackie, David Thewlis and Dutch actress Carice van Houten.

Director Bill Condon's film is based on Domscheit-Berg's Inside WikiLeaks: My Time With Julian Assange at the World's Most Dangerous Website.

Representatives of WikiLeaks did not give their consent to the shooting of the picture. Nevertheless, the date of the premiere is already known - November 15, 2013. Meanwhile, the press secretary of the portal Kristinn Hrafnsson (Kristinn Hrafnsson) already notes that nothing good is expected from the project.

“If the film reflects what is written in most of the books about WikiLeaks, it will provide a negative attitude towards the portal. Hollywood is definitely not a place where an objective reflection of recent history is possible."

However, according to press reports, Assange is portrayed in the film as an idealist trying to fight government corruption.
