Mariah Carey appeared at the presentation in size zero jeans and decided that thinness is natural for many.

American pop singer Mariah Carey has become the face of the Italian denim brand Pinko.

Previously, Pinko was advertised mainly by representatives of the modeling business, in particular, supermodels Elle McPerson, Eva Herzigova and Naomi Campbell.

“All of our campaigns feature famous and beautiful women,” explains Pietro Negra, president and founder of Pinko, “but this time we wanted to invite not just a beautiful woman, but also a musician, because music is the greatest communication channel that all generations."

The advertising campaign featuring Mariah Carey will take place in 750 stores around the world. Her shooting was commissioned by the photographer Michelangelo Di Battista (Michelangelo Di Battista). And jeans specially tailored for Mariah were estimated at about 3,000 pounds sterling. A similar model will be available in Pinko stores at a more modest price.

At the presentation of a new advertising campaign, which took place in one of the company's London stores on February 14, the 36-year-old star appeared in jeans specially tailored for her, stitched with gold threads and decorated with gold accessories. “I'm really flattered to be invited to become the new face of Pinko,” says Carey. - I first discovered this vibrant fashion house while working in Italy, in my favorite place in the world - on the island of Capri. I immediately became a big fan of the brand and bought almost everything in their store. It's easy to imagine that when I was asked to star in the Pinko campaign, I was overjoyed. Their clothes are stylish and funny, and I look forward to continuing our collaboration."

Mariah's exclusive jeans were size zero (in other words, for the skinny ones), so she couldn't help but express her opinion on the recent discussions about the advisability of being too skinny models on the catwalks: “I think there is no need to prohibit anyone. You shouldn't create such a precedent. This rule should not apply to those models who are naturally skinny,”says Carey.
