In our fast-paced era, there is no time to create something new. Therefore, old ideas are constantly used: remakes are removed, half-forgotten characters return. Soon we are waiting for the second invasion of Teletubbies.

Four plump, rounded and awkward characters from the popular children's TV show "The Teletubbies" will get back together to tour the UK and record new material in the studio, writes The Daily Telegraph.

The authors of the idea decided not only to revive the old project, but also created a new single for it - a dance remix of the Follow The Leader track.

In addition, the producers are going to release DVD Ready Steady Dance and raise money from the re-release of the Teletubbies album with bonus tracks.

Tinky-Winky, Dipsy, La-La and Po will tour from September 10 to October 19. The Teletubbies will perform for free in major UK shopping malls. Rehearsals are already underway at the Pineapple Dance Studios in London. In addition to the capital of Great Britain, the Teletubbies will visit cities such as Glasgow, Manchester, Sheffield and others.

Recall that the Teletubbies show first appeared on the BBC TV channel in 1997. Teletubbies' debut single, Say Eh-Oh, topped the UK charts; in total, about a million copies of this recording have been sold.

During the existence of the program until 2001, 365 episodes of the show were filmed, which were watched by viewers in more than 120 countries of the world.

Several scandals have been associated with the show. For example, Polish ombudsman for the rights of children Ewa Sowinska suggested that the children's program contains propaganda of homosexuality. The woman was embarrassed by the orientation of Tinky-Winky, who is rather a boy in height, but carries a woman's handbag. Naturally, this announcement sparked a surge in interest in Teletubbies among the gay community in the United States.
