The 86-year-old native of Ukraine Shifra Blinova became the winner at the “Your Excellency Grandmother” competition held in New York the other day.

According to judges, in the role of which were local retirees, the "queen-grandmother" who lives in Brooklyn, was noted for being incredibly energetic for her age.

Probably, now I will cry until I return home,”the newly-made winner shared her feelings, for whom the current competition was already the fourth in a row (however, Blinova won for the first time).

“When I had to evaluate the data of the contestants, it seemed to me that time had turned back,” admitted one of the jury members, 65-year-old Alexander Lachman. - I would like to be the same youthful and wise at the same time.

Blinova said that the secret of her success lies in her attitude to life. The pensioner, who worked as a nurse during the Second World War, noted that she loves to sing and participate in various productions. “Instead of sitting on a bench and gossiping, I prefer to sing and perform,” the winner emphasized.

By the way, while participating in the competition, Blinova sang one of the Russian songs together with her two granddaughters.
