Today, a whole horde of designers is working in the field of the domestic fashion industry. The names of Denis Simachev, Valentin Yudashkin, Igor Chapurin and many, many others are on everyone's lips. However, just a few decades ago, this niche was occupied by only one person - Slava Zaitsev. Recently, the master of Russian fashion celebrated his 70th anniversary.

In the USSR, the attitude towards Zaitsev was ambiguous: he tried to paint the gray everyday life of the Komsomol with bright clothes, and his, at first glance, not so provocative collections did not meet with a positive reaction from the creators of communism. The very first collection - quilted jackets, light skirts and colored felt boots - entailed only the dismissal of the future "Russian Cardin" from the position of artistic director of a garment factory. However, this did not stop the young talented fashion designer, and for good reason: a few years later he became the country's main fashion designer and, in fact, the only representative of Soviet fashion on the world stage. It was he who sewed for Alla Pugacheva the legendary red hoodie dress, created a collection of clothes for the Soviet sports delegation at the Moscow Olympics, sewed clothes for the Russian police, dressed the artists of the Broadway musical to the music of the legendary jazzman Duke Ellington "Sophisticated Ladies".

It is hard to believe that the master recently turned 70 years old, he still looks young. He claims that he simply does not waste on anger and envy, which helps him to avoid wrinkles. Zaitsev is also not busy with his ability to work - on his anniversary, which he celebrated among friends and colleagues, he presented a completely new collection called "Origins", in which, by tradition, national motives are clearly traced.

Zaitsev is generally a fan of introducing primordial Russian traditions into patterns, cut and accessories. Now, by the way, thanks in large part to this man, we can say that Russian motives are becoming a trend in world fashion.

However, the designer himself called the main feature of the collection the layering of dresses:

- Layered clothing allows you to create an aura of mystery around a woman, because she hides all the most interesting.

Literally the entire elite came to congratulate Vyacheslav - both the stars of the fashion industry, pop singers and singers, and the business elite: during his stormy creative life, Zaitsev managed to sew, if not all, then almost all.

Vladimir Zhirinovsky, who had claimed the presidency a few days ago, even stated in his congratulatory speech:

- Zaitsev must dress the whole of Russia!

By the way, Vyacheslav's anniversary fell exactly on the day of the presidential elections, but in order not to distract friends from fulfilling their civic duty, the fashion designer decided to schedule the celebration a few days later.

Even the first lady of the country, Lyudmila Putina, who, as you know, is a passionate admirer of Zaitsev's work, came to the holiday. She congratulated him personally over a cup of tea.

Vyacheslav was literally bombarded with flowers and gifts that day. Many, not knowing what to give to a person who has everything, presented him with gifts of their own making. Nikas Safronov, for example, presented him with one of his paintings, and Ilya Reznik presented a collection of poems. The rest turned out to be less sophisticated in the choice of gifts - icons, figurines and, of course, a sea of flowers. Huge bouquets were carried in armfuls to the car, but their flow did not stop.

Lyudmila Gurchenko and Edita Piekha came to the celebration, with whom the hero of the day had to work more than once. Both of them claimed that their stage images were practically the work of Zaitsev. And in honor of the holiday, famous artists even performed with him on the same stage - he danced with Lyudmila Markovna, and sang with Edita Stanislavovna. In short, the holiday was a success. It's funny, but just a day before the celebration, while in Yaroslavl, he noted that he did not like birthdays:

- It takes a year of life, - joked Vyacheslav.

Perhaps after this holiday, his opinion changed.
