The other day the musical "The Phantom of the Opera" (@stagerussia), which won the recognition and love of millions of viewers around the world, first opened its doors for 20 popular Instagram bloggers in Russia.

Late in the evening on a weekend, when MDM is closed to ordinary viewers, bloggers went in search of the Ghost living in the empty premises of the theater. An unprecedented event was that the participants of the action got on the stage and were able to take pictures in the scenery of the musical, including in the famous Phantom's lair and with the legendary falling chandelier. Then they walked through the mysterious backstage, through empty corridors with endless rows of costumes, visited the empty hall and the renovated foyer of the theater, decorated with ancient lanterns and an art gallery.

Participants of the #ConceptPhantom campaign have developed a special dress code - young people put on white shirts and tailcoats, and girls - black floor-length dresses. In addition, the bloggers took mirrors with them in order to use them to cross the line between reality and the mystical world and find the ghost of Christine, who never leaves the theater. In this they were helped by the actress of the musical "The Phantom of the Opera", performer of the main role Kristin Elena Bakhtiyarova.

The action took place within the framework of the new Russian movement @Concept_Project, which grew out of the popular international project #Empty. Within the framework of the new @Concept_Project project, participants not only visit empty places, but also take on their chosen artistic image and become part of the space in which the action takes place. Photos from the event, which received tens of thousands of likes, can be seen in the microblogs of the action participants with the hashtag #ConceptPhantom.

“They say that the mystical story that formed the basis of the famous musical actually happened within the walls of the Paris Opera, and the prototypes of Christine and Eric existed in reality. A mysterious legend inspired me to create the #ConceptPhantom project. While conceiving the project, I set myself the goal of erasing the border between the familiar and the fictional and providing an opportunity to see the world famous musical from a completely different perspective,”commented Ekaterina Mishchenkova, the author of the project.
