From time immemorial, Russia has been famous for its patriarchal traditions. The roles of men and women were strictly separated: the man was the head of the family, the hunter and the breadwinner, and the woman was the keeper of the hearth. Today, more and more often you can see such "guardians" who manage their own firms and make many important and responsible decisions. The percentage of women who, as before, completely devote themselves to their family and husband is large, but still the share of careerists, successful women and lady bosses today is no less.

Bright, purposeful, always feminine, stylish, smart and energetic - these are the ladies bosses. But often a business woman experiences a kind of psychological loneliness, as she has to be very careful about choosing a circle of friends. But wealth and success make such women desirable brides.

If you are a woman boss, pay special attention to the circle of your male acquaintances, since they are often driven not by friendly and loving feelings, but by the desire to achieve material well-being at the expense of someone else's mind and work.

My friend Dasha has achieved a lot by her 35 years. She has several flower boutiques in Moscow, her company works at many major events in the city, decorating the halls with flowers. Dasha speaks at awards and conferences, is present at almost all social events and get-togethers, participates in international exhibitions and often becomes a winner. She has two beautiful twin daughters, a husband, apartments and a car - in general, complete family and financial well-being. But her husband has not worked for a long time, since Dasha earns for everyone. Only sometimes he helps her at exhibitions and conferences, but usually he sits at home, drives around the city in a car that Dasha bought, plays in a casino or goes to restaurants. Most likely, you will judge my friend. You ask: "What is she doing next to such a weak man?" The answer is simple: she still loves him, and two little daughters cannot be deprived of their father. In this situation, a strong woman was next to a weak man. Having realized her career ambitions, she could not find herself a man worthy in every sense.

In a poll, the results of which were published by the Daily Telegraph, it was found that, in the opinion of most British people, women make better bosses than men. The respondents stated that women-bosses know how to value and inspire their subordinates, know how to create a climate conducive to learning and development.

Middle-level male managers also said they found women to be more effective, but senior executives did not see much difference between bosses of different genders. About 90% of the top positions in business are held by men.

A survey of 2,000 health care workers and various government officials found that they believed female bosses are better at their jobs. In 11 of the 14 criteria for assessing the effectiveness of women showed better results than men, and in the remaining three were equal to them.

It turned out that female managers are more effective in terms of leadership style and that the staff values them more.

But in order to gain respect and recognition among subordinates, especially if you start working in a new team, you will have to go through several stages. Your task is to harmoniously fit into a team with already established traditions. You should not immediately try to rebuild relationships, make changes, even if they seem necessary to you. For starters, just look at how your subordinates are used to working.

Acquaintance. The first step in starting a new job is to get to know each of your subordinates personally. Of course, if the number of subordinates is not too large. Try to be attentive, remember, if possible, the names and faces of employees. And do not expect that all employees will accept you at once. Surely, both supporters and ill-wishers will appear. This cannot be avoided. But at first try not to get involved in internal conflicts and not take sides.

It is better not to react at all to attacks and irony in your address. After a while, if you behave correctly, the ill-wishers will get used to you, and the benevolent ones will assert their attitude towards you, and the atmosphere will become less tense.

Gaining and maintaining authority. Let's say the relationship in the team has been established. The next step is to gain authority, and an informal one. It’s not easy, but it’s quite real. You should win over the team leaders. It is not difficult to recognize them: people always come to them for advice. They are the ones who are trying to please new employees. Most likely, the informal leaders of the collective will be men - women working there are drawn to them. Use your feminine charm to establish a warm relationship with them. The whole team will follow the leaders after you.

Maintaining authority is even more difficult than gaining one. Now you have no right to make even the smallest mistakes in your work. If you show everyone that you yourself are messing around, then authority is lost. Demand from yourself everything that you will demand from your subordinates.

Managing is a whole science. Of course, if you have been chosen for an important post, it means that you already have enough managerial qualities. The actions of the whole team must be coordinated and synchronized - this is exactly what you have to achieve.

So don't forget about motivation … This is one of the main levers of control. If you learn to correctly and competently evaluate the work of your employees, to promptly and fairly encourage and punish, then you will become a truly good and respected boss.

Think about the fact that we are all human. Material well-being is far from last on the list of priorities in life. Even if the work is very interesting and exciting, financial incentives for timely, high-quality performance will not hurt.

At one of the former places of work, I had a boss, Maxim Sergeevich. Great person, great leader. Relationship with him was excellent: we often talked not only about work, but also "for life." But as soon as we started talking about material reward, everything became different. Bonuses for good work were only promised to us, as well as a percentage of sales. And there was no question of raising wages. Thus, our friendly team quickly disintegrated, and staff turnover began in the company.

Do not lead to a similar situation. Remember, everyone deserves a reward for a really well done job.

Moreover, now this can be done not only with the help of remuneration, but also by arranging various events, which, by the way, have a positive effect on the work and mood of the entire team. Trips to nature, trips to a restaurant, corporate events - all this will only help the work.

After a while, I'm sure you will be able to get used to the new team, earn authority among your subordinates and achieve success. The main thing is, do not worry, be confident in yourself and your strengths, then everything will work out for sure!
